Alan Thicke‘s family is remembering the late actor on what would have been his 70th birthday.

Alan‘s wife Tanya Thicke took to Instagram to share a sweet picture and message for her late husband on his birthday.

“Happy Birthday to my angel #2016 joint birthday celebration, they say 2 Pisces are internal soulmates You are so missed my love……” Tanya captioned the below pic.

Alan and Tanya‘s 19-year-old son Carter also shared a throwback picture of himself with his dad where he said he hopes Alan is enjoying his “birthday margarita and rhubarb pie.”

Alan passed away back in December of last year after he suffered a heart attack while playing hockey with Carter.

Carter Thicke, the youngest child of the late Alan Thicke, is opening up about the death of his father and their final moments together.

The Growing Pains actor died on December 13 after he collapsed at an ice skating rink while playing hockey with Carter.

“The ambulance came and the paramedics had stabilized him and everything seemed fine,” Carter told ET about how he thought his father would pull through. “That was brutal.”

“I got to give him a hug and said, ‘I love you,’ and that was the last time I saw him,” he added about their final moments together. “He was like the perfect dad.”

Carter Thicke has taken to his Instagram account to pay tribute to his late father, the beloved actor Alan Thicke.

The 19-year-old was playing a game of hockey with Alan on Tuesday (December 13) when the actor suffered a heart attack. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

“Today I lost my best friend and my idol, and the world lost one of it’s finest,” Carter captioned a photo of him with his dad.

Alan Thicke shared so many great father-son moments with his three kids – Brennan, 41, Robin, 39, and Carter, 19 – over the years and we’ve gathered some of the best photos.

The beloved Growing Pains actor died at the age of 69 after suffering a heart attack on Tuesday (December 13). He was playing a game of hockey with Carter and was pronounced dead at the hospital in Burbank, Calif.

Alan is survived by his three sons and his wife Tanya Thicke, who he married in 2005. He was previously married to Brennan and Robin‘s mom Gloria Loring from 1970 to 1983 and Carter‘s mom Gina Tolleson from 1994 to 1999.
