“Oh, I mean, I hope for one. I think it’d be so fun,” Allison shared. “The likelihood? I genuinely don’t know. I have no idea. It would be so much fun.”
Girls ran on HBO for six seasons from 2012 to 2017.
Allison continued: “At one point, Lena said, ‘Every decade I want to check in on them,’” she added. “That would be really, really fun.”

Fans are wondering why Shoshanna (played by Zosia Mamet) was not featured in the Girls series finale this past Sunday.
“It’s just creatively how we told the story,” executive producer Jenni Konner told TV Line.
“The whole point of the ending for Shosh is that Shosh is on her own and doesn’t want to be with these people, so it wouldn’t really make sense to have her around that much [after that]. Every season someone is missing somewhere. We’re not a show that says, “OK, here are our four characters – what are they all doing?’” she added.
If you didn’t watch, the entire series is available to stream on HBO Go.
SPOILER ALERT – Do not continue reading this post if you haven’t watch the Girls series finale yet!
The final episode of the hit HBO series Girls has aired and Lena Dunham‘s character Hannah welcomed a baby named Grover.
So, how exactly did the baby come to be named that? Let’s leave it to Lena to explain.
“I came in one day and I was like, ‘The baby’s name is Grover.’ And we were like, ‘Sounds about right.’ We were kind of trying to figure out what kind of slightly off name Hannah would give her child,” Lena said in an interview with THR.
“And then it was Jenni who had the idea to have [the baby's father, Riz Ahmed's] Paul-Louis say [that he thought] Grover would be a really nice name for a baby. Like, ‘I want there to be some evidence that he is the father and that he mattered,’” she added. “So when she put the line in, it felt so beautiful and natural that it all retrofitted so nicely. We knew that the baby’s name was Grover Horvath before we knew that ‘Grover’ was the fantasy name of [Hannah's] water-skiing f”buddy. … We also thought that ‘Grover’ was just odd enough that Hannah would be comfortable with it, while she wasn’t also naming her child ‘Plutonium.’”
WHAT DID YOU THINK of the series finale of Girls?
We’re just a couple hours away from the series finale of Girls.
Showrunner and actress Lena Dunham recently opened up about what to expect in the final episode.
“We were obsessed with our finale and we talked a lot about other shows that we thought did it right, but we actually sort of purposely didn’t model ours on anyone else’s,” Lena told Rolling Stone. “The ninth episode of the season is sort of the more traditional finale, and then the 10th is almost like a short-film epilogue. We did it a little bit of a different way.”
She added, “The show’s never been about that traditional connection, where it’s four best friends who just can’t get enough of each other. So to do a traditional everybody-gets-their-happy-ending finale didn’t feel right. At the same time, we wanted people to have the satisfaction of closure. I think we found kind of a creative way to do that. We’ll see if other people feel the same way.”
Girls airs TONIGHT, April 16 @ 10PM on HBO.
