Kate Hudson will be showing off her musical talents in the upcoming movie music, which was written and directed by Sia!

The first teaser trailer for the movie was just released and it also features dancer Maddie Ziegler, who plays the title character, and Tony Award winner Leslie Odom Jr.

Here is the film’s synopsis: Kate “plays Zu, a newly sober drug dealer and self-saboteur who finds herself the sole guardian of her half-sister, Music (Ziegler), a teenager with special needs. Barely able to take care of herself, let alone her sister, Zu struggles with this new responsibility, but soon learns that life’s obstacles are made easier with a little help from a friend, Ebo (Odom Jr.), a neighbor whose own family story makes him someone Zu can learn from and rely upon. The film explores the tenuous bonds that hold us together and imagines a world where those bonds can be strengthened in times of great challenge.”

Music featured 10 original songs that Sia wrote for the film. The movie will be released in early 2021 and Sia‘s album Music, which features songs from and inspired by the movie, is out on February 12, 2021.

Sia is speaking out with support for Johnny Depp amid his legal battle with ex-wife Amber Heard, who accused him of domestic abuse.

Johnny is suing Amber for $50 million for defamation after she made allegations against him and referred to him as a “wife beater” in an op-ed piece written in 2018.

Amber is counter-suing Johnny for $100 million, accusing him of “orchestrating a false and defamatory smear campaign” against her.

Now, Sia says that she believes Johnny is telling the truth in this situation.

She tweeted, “Just showing my public support for Johnny Depp. I mean, I’d love him to get clean and stop with the jewelry, but he is clearly the victim after hearing those tapes.”

The audio tapes Sia is referring to might be the ones we wrote about back in February.

The 44-year-old singer wore a pink bow dress with a large wig and yellow bow on her head while singing her new single “Courage to Change” at the event, which aired on Wednesday (October 14) and took place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles.

Sia‘s new song is the second song to be released from her upcoming movie Music, which she directed.

“Courage to Change” is a song about the fight for social justice. She sings, “You’re not alone in all this / You’re not alone I promise / Standing together we can do anything / You’re not alone in all this / You’re not alone I promise / Standing together we can do anything.”

Sia is opening up even more about becoming a mother and actually shared the first pic of her younger son, Che.

The 44-year-old musician is pictured hugging Che from behind and they both have emoji sunglasses over their faces.

Speaking with InStyle, Sia got candid about her decision to adopt older kids and what went down during their first family dinner together.

“Older children have a really hard time getting adopted, and when I saw him, I said to myself, ‘That’s my son,’” Sia shared with the magazine. “I knew I wanted to help him. By the time I found him, he was 18 and aging out of the foster care system. I told him that I wanted to adopt him, and since he was an adult, he left with me that day.”

While she only planned to adopt one child, she came home with two instead.

“The only thing he asked was if he could also bring his cousin Che, who had lived with him in a group home. I had two spare bedrooms, so I said, ‘Sure!’”

Sia also recalled how both boys had tears in their eyes after their first meal together.

“The day they came home with me, Maddie [Ziegler] was over, and since she’s like my daughter, we all had our first family dinner together. Sitting at the table, my sons said, ‘We’re allowed to use knives here?’ In foster care, they hadn’t been allowed to use a metal knife to eat in years. And they’d never really eaten a vegetable either,” she explained.

“I basically sat them down that day and said, ‘What has happened to you in your life was wrong. It never should’ve happened. But my job now is to protect you, and we’re going to get through everything together.’ Both my boys had tears in their eyes, and from that moment on, I knew it was my duty to be the best mother I could be for them.”

Sia has revealed that it was reality television led her to adopt her two sons.

In her cover story with Vogue Australia, the hitmaker admitted that her obsession with reality television and documentaries was the thing that inspired her to adopt.

“I watched a documentary and saw my son. I was like: ‘What? Like, he doesn’t have anybody. Oh my god. I’m going to find him and I’m going to be his mummy,’” Sia shared. “So that’s what I did.”

Sia announced earlier this year, during a virtual interview, that she had adopted two sons.

“It’s one of the hardest, but I have obviously such an overflow of love that I could definitely see myself doing it again, but not for a while,” she shared about adopting again one day.

But she does have some plans in mind: “The next thing I’m planning to do is foster actual infants. Maybe [their mother] is drug-addicted and then I could help look after them until, you know, their mum can get back on the wagon or an adoptive home is found. If I can do that then I think I’ll feel like I’m superhuman.”

On top of being a new mom herself, Sia revealed she’s also a grandma!

“During this time of isolation, I’ve been incredibly inspired to release music that has an uplifting energy,” David said in a statement. “I love producing club tracks but at the same time, especially now, I feel like creating ‘feel-good’ music. ‘Let’s Love’ is a message of love, hope and bringing people together and once again, Sia has out done herself on the vocals.”

Sia shocked a radio host when she used the bathroom during a live interview and even flushes the toilet.

During the interview, suddenly a flush could be heard. The host asked if she had just used the bathroom.

“Yeah, you heard me and I flushed too. I have no shame,” Sia said while appearing on the Nova FM’s Ash, Kip & Luttsy with Susie O’Neill show on Monday (August 17).

Then, the host asked again if she “really just went to the toilet while you’re doing an interview with us?”

“I did,” Sia said. “But guess what? Stars are just like us.”

Then the host asked, “Why don’t you take a s— and we’ll get the whole thing?”

“Unfortunately, I don’t need to take a s—,” Sia added.
