Sia is very protective of Maddie Ziegler and she will do anything to keep her safe.

During a new interview with Zach Sang Show, the 44-year-old entertainer revealed how she would continue working on projects with the 17-year-old dancer so that she could keep her safe.

“I mean, as soon as I met Maddie I felt this extreme desire to protect her, and I think that it was part of my own healing, and I felt this extreme compulsion to protect her,” Sia said. “The irony is that I didn’t want to be famous and I threw this child into the spotlight. She would say to me, ‘Don’t be silly, I was already famous and I wanted to be famous.’ And I would say, ‘And you know, it can stop at any time, right? If you want it to stop, I can make it stop. You can just go back to being a normal person again.’ But she just said, ‘No, I love performing. I love dancing, and I love acting so much.’”

Sia started working with Maddie when she was just 11-years-old. Sia then revealed that disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein once tried to get Maddie to fly on a plane with him.

“So I thought, how’s a good way I can keep her safe is just keep making projects for her, and therefore most of the time we’re working together – and you know I kept her off a plane that Harvey Weinstein tried to get her on,” Sia revealed. “I know there’s times where my insight has really made a difference, like kept her safe… Yeah, that was really disgusting… When he invited her, that’s when I called, I told [her mom] Melissa, I had to. I just said, ‘Please don’t, do not do that, do not do that, do not do that.’”

“Even recently, she was offered a part in a film and I felt that the film wasn’t good enough for her, and so I called Melissa, and was like, ‘Please don’t do this, like this isn’t good for her career. It’s not good for her long term credibility. This is not a good co-star to be in a movie with. So I just try and help guide,” Sia added. “I can be a pain in the butt. I think her manager thinks I’m a real pain in the butt, I’m sure.”

Harvey is currently serving a 23 year sentence in a New York prison after being found guilty of sexual assault and rape in the third degree.

It was recently revealed this star threatened to beat up Harvey.

Sia is publicly supporting Paris Jackson amid a petition that is circulating that is going viral about Paris‘ new film Habit.

In the film, Paris plays Jesus Christ, and the petition to stop the film’s release has reached 270,000 signatures at the time of this posting. The film is being labeled as “Christianophobic” as it depicts Jesus as gay. So far, Paris has not responded to the petition.

Sia took to Twitter to send Paris her support, writing, “Dear @ParisJackson. I love you, keep going. I believe you are a good person.”

Sia just dropped some huge news – she’s a grandma!

The 44-year-old singer revealed in a new interview with Apple Music that one of her adopted sons has children of his own now, which in turn makes her a grandma.

“My youngest son just had two babies. I’m a f***ing grandma!” Sia exclaimed in the chat. “I know, right? They call me ‘Nana.’”

Sia isn’t a big fan of Nana though, but is taking a page from Kris Jenner and trying to get them to call her Lovey.

Last month, Sia opened up about the choice to adopt her two sons.

“They were both 18 – they’re both 19 years old now. They were aging out of the foster care system. Yeah, and I love them,” she shared.

“It’s a blessing for me. I think they saved me, so I’m in heaven,” Sia added in another interview with GMA.

Sia is opening up about being a new mother!

The 44-year-old singer adopted two 18-year-old boys last year right as they were about to age out of foster care. They are now 19 and Sia says they both helped “save” her.

While being interview on Good Morning America on Friday (June 26), Sia said, “They both suffered a lot, and I’ve been able to get them the help — I have the resources to get them the help that they needed for their early trauma. It’s taken a year and we’ve had our ups and downs, but we’ve never been in a better place than today, in fact.”

On being a mom, Sia said, “It’s a blessing for me. I think they saved me, so I’m in heaven.”

Sia was on the show to promote her upcoming movie Music and perform a song from the film, but she also made sure to speak about the murders of Breonna Taylor and Elijah McClain. She urged viewers to reach out to politicians who can bring justice for those young lives taken way too soon.

In another recent interview, Sia chatted about the big celeb she once got flirty with.

Sia is apologizing to rappers Nicki Minaj and Cardi B after she mixed up the two stars on Twitter and then asked them about their feud from years ago.

It all started when a fan asked Sia if she would ever do a collaboration with Nicki. Sia seemingly thought the photo was of Cardi and replied, “I love @iamcardib and although this isn’t a collaboration, I would love to COLLAB with her any day!”

Nicki‘s fans were seemingly upset with that reply and brought up how the two rappers were once in a feud, but Sia must have thought they were accusing her of drumming up a feud now. (Need a refresher on what happened between the two rappers? Here you go!)

Sia tweeted, “I don’t give a sh-t about feuds, George Floyd was f–king murdered. Breonna Taylor. Murdered. Come on let’s rise in unity. You think @iamcardib and Nikki [sic] are so petty that they would want you focusing on a silly feud instead of REAL NEWS.”

She seemingly then realized she mixed up the photos and tweeted, “My f–k up @NickiMinaj.”

Sia also tweeted, “Hey @iamcardib @NICKIMINAJ you aren’t thinking about a feud right now are you? We are focused on the problem of systemic racism.”

All of those tweets have since been deleted and she wrote the below apology.

Sia is continuing to show off her creativity at home!

The “Chandelier” pop superstar performed her latest single “Together” alongside her constant collaborator, 17-year-old dancer Maddie Ziegler, at home for The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night (June 9).

Music stars Kate Hudson, Leslie Odom, Jr. and Maddie Ziegler.

Here’s the film’s plot summary: Zu (Hudson) is newly sober and finding her way in the world when she receives news that she is to become the sole guardian of her half-sister named Music (Ziegler), a young girl on the autism spectrum. The film explores two of Sia’s favorite themes — finding your voice and what it means to create family.
