Zooey Deschanel is all smiles as she strikes a pose on the blue carpet at the 2018 Heal The Bay’s Bring Back The Beach Awards Gala held at The Jonathan Club on Thursday (May 17) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 38-year-old New Girl star was accompanied at the event by her handsome hubby Jacob Pechenik, as well as Amy Smart.

“Nothing can really prepare you for it because you never again have a day where you don’t think of your kids first. At least for me, that’s what I think of first thing. Like, ‘How are the kids doing? What do they need?’ That’s my first thought when I wake up in the morning and go to sleep at night. I’m always thinking of them,” Zooey told Us Weekly. “I’ve changed completely. You don’t realize what a sort of selfish existence you live in until you have kids.”

Zooey Deschanel is all smiles as she carries an adorable baby boy while attending the Baby2Baby Baby Carnival Presented By Huggies held at Lombardi House on Monday (September 25) in Los Angeles.

The 37-year-old New Girl star helped kick off National Diaper Need Awareness Week with the donation event.

According to a recent survey by Huggies and the National Diaper Bank Network, 1 in 3 families struggle to provide clean diapers for their children, so Zooey accepted a 2.5 million diaper donation to help give to families in need.

“I’m so proud to accept @Huggies No Baby Unhugged donation of 2.5 million diapers to help @Baby2Baby families in need,” Zooey captioned with one of her Instagram posts. “It is shocking that 1 in 3 families in this country struggle to provide diapers to their children. You can help get diapers to babies who need them most. For every re-post or tweet with #DonateDiapers this week, Huggies will donate a day’s worth of diapers to the children & families Baby2Baby serves.”

“Zooey, Jacob and their daughter Elsie are overjoyed to welcome the newest member of their family,” a rep confirmed to Just Jared. Sources say that Zooey gave birth sometime last week in the Los Angeles area.

Big sister Elsie Otter was born in July of 2015. The couple secretly married just before the birth of their baby girl.

The 37-year-old New Girl star is reportedly pregnant with their second child, according to Us Weekly.

The couple is already parents to daughter, Elsie Otter, 18 months.

Zooey and Jacob usually keep their private lives out of the public eye. If you remember, they secretly married back in 2014.

During her maternity leave for New Girl, Megan Fox was introduced as a new character in her absence. It’s unclear if her second pregnancy will be written into the show or not.
