Early last month, Jamie‘s daughter, actress Corinne Foxx told fans that he was recovering after experiencing a “medical complication”.

News of his condition spread, with many of his peers providing updates along the way. Jamie also released a statement in mid-April, sharing his thanks for all the well wishes.

Jamie Foxx has just released his first statement since his hospitalization over three weeks ago.

On Wednesday (April 12), “From the Foxx Family: We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery,” his daughter Corinne posted. “We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time. Much love, The Foxx Family.”

There have been varying levels of reports about Jamie since the news broke, including one just hours ago from TMZ claiming that friends were urging everyone to pray for him.

Now, Jamie himself has updated his social media.

Jamie Foxx is continuing to receive care amid his ongoing hospitalization.

The 55-year-old star regularly hosts Beat Shazam, but due to his condition, he will not be able to do so for Season 6 of the hit game show.

As a result, one star is now expected to fill in as a guest host of the game show, a spokesperson for Fox confirmed on Wednesday (May 3) to THR.

Martin Lawrence opened up about his friend Jamie Foxx while accepting his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday (April 20) in Hollywood, Calif.

Tomorrow, Daniil will face off against his friend, fellow Russian Karen Khachanov, who beat out Argentina’s Francisco Cerundolo, 6-3, 6-2.

“[Karen and I] have known each other [for] a long time,” Daniil shared at his post-match conference. “We are exactly the same age group. So starting from all the young tournaments, we played together. I remember that just before the under-14 age group, he was actually not one of the best in Russia. I was not the best one also. Maybe a little bit higher ranked than him. Then he went really fast up. He got a few wildcards, beat a few top guys when he was like 15 or 16. So, yeah, he had a good rise. We had a good rise together to the ATP Tour. We already achieved a lot. It’s great. You know, we still spend time together. We are great friends, and I feel like we respect each other a lot.”
