That same day, the cast joined the TODAY show to discuss the film’s groundbreaking level of representation as the first movie with an all-Asian cast since The Joy Luck Club premiered 25 years ago.

“We’ve been doing press tours and screenings for a lot of people, everybody’s really moved by it but also really thinks it’s funny,” Constance said. “It’s for everybody.”

“I’m so proud to be part of this,” Yeoh said. It’s so diverse, but at the same time, it’s got heart.”

Constance Wu and Henry Golding walk the red carpet together at the premiere of their new movie Crazy Rich Asians on Tuesday (August 8) at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

The on-screen couple was joined by co-stars Michelle Yeoh, Gemma Chan, Awkwafina, Ken Jeong, Jimmy O. Yang, Chris Pang, Sonoya Mizuno, Jing Lusi, Ronny Chieng, Pierre Png, Fiona Xie, Kheng Hua Tan, and Nico Santos. All of the stars channeled the glamour of old Hollywood on the red carpet.

Also stepping out for the premiere were the book’s writer Kevin Kwan, the film’s director Jon M. Chu, Henry‘s wife Liv Lo, Ken‘s wife Tran Jeong, and more.

Crazy Rich Asians, based on the best-selling novel, hits theaters on August 15.

The guys are touring around the country together while promoting their new movie Crazy Rich Asians and they also visited Seattle’s famous Pike Place Market.

Awkwafina, Ken Jeong, and Nico Santos teamed up that day while in Miami, where they visited the talk show Despierta America.

Gemma Chan, Jimmy O. Yang and author Kevin Kwan are on tour together and they just stopped by Good Morning Philadelphia during a trip to Philly.

Crazy Rich Asians hits theaters on August 15!

From rooftops on Toronto skyscrapers to Chicago helicopter rides to Boston yachts, the cast of Crazy Rich Asians are making their rounds as part of their press tour!

Leading man Henry Golding and director Jon M. Chu hosted a special screening of film at the Chicago Google Office, while co-stars Awkwafina, Ken Jeong and Nico Santos hit the red carpet at a special screening in Toronto.

Gemma Chan, Jimmy O. Yang and Kevin Kwan, who wrote the book “Crazy Rich Asians,” touched down in Boston to make their promo rounds.

The upcoming film is the first Hollywood studio-backed film directed by an Asian-American director and all-Asian cast in 25 years – Watch the trailer here!

The film, which stars Melissa McCarthy, tells the story of longtime dedicated housewife Deanna who, when her husband suddenly dumps her, turns regret into re-set by going back to college—alongside her daughter—and plunging headlong into the campus experience.

The movie, which is directed by Ben Falcone, co-stars Gillian Jacobs, Maya Rudolph, Julie Bowen, Matt Walsh, Molly Gordon, Stephen Root, Jacki Weaver, Jessie Ennis, Adria Arjona, Debby Ryan and Jimmy O. Yang.

Kumamil Nanjiani and wife Emily V Gordon are all smiles as they arrive at the 2017 Emmy Awards held at the Microsoft Theater on Sunday (September 17) in Los Angeles.
