Henry Cavill Hilariously Addresses 'Mustache Fiasco' for 'Justice League' Reshoots

Henry Cavill is putting an end to the controversy surrounding his mustache!

The 34-year-old actor – who plays Super-Man in the upcoming Justice League film – took to Instagram to address the controversy surrounding his mustache needing to be digitally removed for the film’s re-shots.

CHECK OUT: Henry Cavill‘s ‘MI6′ Director Explains Why He Can’t Shave!

“Dear followers, it is time to finally set the record straight in this moustache fiasco. Pictured above, is not a set on MI6 but is in fact the latest in a series of weapons being designed by Warner Bros and Paramount Studios to combat the entity known as “Henry Cavill’s Moustache”. There has been no discussion over whether to shave or not to shave for the JL reshoots, simply a relentless campaign to put an end to the seemingly inexorable conquest of this despotic ‘stache. It is not a question of IF I should shave – it is a question of how can we possibly be victorious against such a beast without bringing our own doom raining down upon us,” Henry captioned the below photo.

Henry Cavill's Facial Hair Will Be Digitally Removed from 'Justice League' Reshoots

The mustache that Henry Cavill is currently sporting for his work in the upcoming movie Mission: Impossible 6 is posing a problem for the Justice League reshoots.

Clark Kent/Superman is clean-shaven in the movies, but Henry currently has facial hair while shooting MI6 and he can’t shave it right now.

Warner Bros. will have to digitally remove the facial hair from the film in post-production.

“Paramount would not allow Cavill to shave the facial hair while production was taking place,” Variety reports.

Diane Lane Clarifies 'Justice League' & 'Avengers' Comments

Diane Lane recently was asked if she thought the upcoming Justice League movie would be better than The Avengers and people assumed she answered “no,” it wouldn’t be.

The actress is now clarifying the comments made on Watch What Happens Live. A caller asked if she could give spoilers on the movie and if the film would be better than The Avengers.

“No and no,” Diane replied while laughing. “Short, but honest. I hate to disappoint.”

Diane‘s rep has released a statement to JustJared.com to reveal what she really meant to say.

Diane meant ‘sorry to disappoint’ in reference to revealing anything concerning Justice League that is not already out in the public, and, was declining to comment on a film (Avengers) that she has not seen,” the rep said. “She is thrilled to continue her role as Martha Kent, and appreciates your excitement for Justice League. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to clarify this.”
