Kate Upton and baseball player husband Justin Verlander meet a cute dog while hosting the fourth annual Grand Slam Adoption Event on Sunday (September 2) at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Tex.

The event took place before Justin‘s game with the Houston Astros against the Los Angeles Angels.

Kate and Justin have adopted dogs of their own, and frequently visit shelters around the country to promote dog adoption. The married couple partnered with Wins for Warriors Foundation and Astro’s Dog Day for the event, presented by Tito’s Handmade Vodka.

“Justin and I are so grateful to everyone who came out to support the Grand Slam Adoption Event today. We hope anyone considering adding a pet to their family visits their local shelter to save a life,” Kate said at the event.

Kate Upton is celebrating National Dog Day with her favorite pup!

The 26-year-old pregnant model and her pup Harley were spotted heading through LAX airport on Monday afternoon (August 27) in Los Angeles.

Kate kept her baby bump covered up in a white tee and jacket paired with black leggings.

Later in the day, she took to her Instagram to share a cute photo with Harley.

“Every day should be #NationalDogDay,” Kate captioned the pic.

Kate Upton‘s husband Justin Verlander is opening up about his private struggle with depression.

The 35-year-old baseball pitcher says Kate helped save his life after a shoulder injury seemed to put career in jeopardy.

At one point, Justin was booed by fans and some even blamed his relationship with Kate for his decline.

“She was instrumental in me not…like, jumping off a bridge. I was depressed and kind of just upset at the world and trying to hide my own s**t,” Justin told Bleacher Report.

He continued, “I don’t like to talk to people about being hurt. As athletes, you’re not supposed to…But [Kate] was someone I could talk to. I mean, basically a therapist. Somebody I could trust with…worries about my career. Worries about, Can I make it? Worries about what I’m going through to get back.”

Kate added, “It was so emotional. He was in so much pain, and he was just trying to find the best path back.”

Eventually, Justin decided to enter physical rehab, where he learned to adjust his playing style and got his career back on the right path.

“Who knows, if I’m even here if it wasn’t for her?” Justin said.

Earlier that day, Kate was spotted stepping out for breakfast with a few friends in West Hollywood.

Over the weekend, Kate and husband Justin Verlander made a hot couple as they stepped out to celebrate her Maxim Hot 100 Issue.

Kate Upton walks the red carpet with her baseball player husband Justin Verlander at the 2018 MLB All-Star Game on Tuesday (July 17) at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C.

The 26-year-old model, who just revealed she’s pregnant with her first child, is at the game to support Justin, who is playing on the American League team.

When they announced the pregnancy over the weekend, Justin wrote the sweetest message for his wife.

“You’re going to be the most amazing Mom!! I can’t wait to start this new journey with you! You’re the most thoughtful, loving, caring, and strong woman I’ve ever met!” he said. “I’m so proud that our little one is going to be raised in this world by a woman like you! I love you so much.”
