Gilmore Girls' Lauren Graham Didn't Guess the Final Four Words Correctly

Lauren Graham had her own ideas about what the big “final four words” of Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life were going to be.

The 49-year-old actress admits that she was just as surprised when she found out, having guessed them wrong.

“I didn’t know what they were until halfway of filming of this,” Lauren said in an interview with On Air With Ryan Seacrest. “When I heard them, my reaction was also, ‘Wait, what? Huh?’ I thought it was going to be like, ‘Goodnight dear town!’ You know, something that was going to tie it up with a bow.”

“I love the idea that even if you’re frustrated, your imagination can take over,” Lauren added. “I was so happy with what we did and it was just an incredible experience, but I, too, was just surprised by the end.”

Lauren Graham's 'Gilmore Girls' TV Mom Kelly Bishop Totally Predicted Her Relationship With Peter Krause!

Lauren Graham‘s Gilmore Girls on-screen mother Kelly Bishop totally knew she would end up being with Peter Krause!

“From the start of the show, Kelly named herself my TVM, or TV mom, by which she meant she was taking her character’s role seriously, beyond the pages or sets and out into the real world,” the 49-year-old actress reveals in her new memoir, “Talking as Fast as I Can: From Gilmore Girls to Gilmore Girls (and Everything in Between)“.

“In a maternal, protective way, she found most of my boyfriends at the time lacking, and once told me I needed someone who was more my equal, like ‘that wonderful actor on Six Feet Under,’” Lauren added (via ET).

Peter, 51, starred in Six Feet Under as Nate Fisher from 2001 to 2005, before joining Lauren in Parenthood in 2010. They’ve been together ever since.

“At our age we’d probably both been through ‘showmances’ that went south and made work an uncomfortable place to be,” Lauren explains in the book. “But ultimately, our mutual wariness gave way — it just sort of happened.”

Lauren and Kelly got together with their co-stars Alexis Bledel and Scott Patterson at a special screening and Q&A panel for Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life last night (November 29) at AMC Theater Time Square in New York City.

One good sign is that Netflix denotes the episodes as being part of “season one.”

'Gilmore Girls' Last Four Words Revealed (MAJOR SPOILERS)

The Netflix series Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life has officially debuted and the “last four words” of the beloved show have finally been revealed.

Before reading any further into this post, be warned that there are major spoilers ahead, so you are continuing at your own risk. If you don’t want to be spoiled, click away. Now!

The “last four words” of Gilmore Girls have been something fans have been curious about for years now. Series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino had teased in a 2006 interview that she knew the final four words of the series, but then she was not involved with the final season of the show and it did not end the way she originally intended. With the revival of the series on Netflix, she finally had the chance to end it the way she wanted!

Amy encourages fans of the show to watch the full four episodes of A Year in the Life instead of spoiling themselves. For those that don’t plan on watching, we have you covered. But, once again, do not read further if you don’t want spoilers!!!

“It would be great if people who wanted to see the last four words first got some therapy first and got rid of that inclination,” Amy said at the TCA Press Tour this past summer. “It really is a journey…it’s going to mean a lot less if you just flip to the last page. I would hope that people would want to take the whole trip. It’s a fun trip. It’s worth it.”
