Vanessa Hudgens strikes a pose as she arrives at the premiere of Second Act on Wednesday night (December 12) at the Regal Union Square in New York City.

The 29-year-old Spring Breakers star stopped by Late Night with Seth Meyers on Tuesday (December 11) to dish on what happened while she and the 49-year-old “El Anillo” singer were filming their new movie Second Act.
“I got to meet her kids,” Vanessa said. “They came to set. Alex [Rodriguez]‘s kids apparently were really big fans, and I didn’t meet them during filming. So she was like, ‘You have to come over and meet the kids,’ and she invited me to like a Taco Tuesday night that they were having. So I was like, ‘Oh, OK, fun!’”
“The day came,” she continued. “It was like a rough day, I texted her like, ‘I’m not feeling great. I think I’m gonna skip out,’ and she’s like, ‘No, you have to come! It’ll be great! You’ll have fun, I promise.’”
“I’m like, ‘OK, OK. Let me rally for Jen,’” Vanessa added. “I get myself together, I head over there thinking it’s gonna be like, you know, a normal Taco Tuesday, and I get there, and I walk in, and there’s a billion people, and I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s Kim Kardashian.’ Not your normal Taco Tuesday.”

During her appearance, Leah joked about her 14-year-old daughter, Sofia, who dislikes when Leah displays affection. She also talked about taking her “handsy” mother to Chippendales in Las Vegas.
Leah then discussed working with her friend Jennifer Lopez in Second Act and taking the liberty to slap her during a scene.

Leah Remini’s Mom Got a Little Too Handsy at Chippendales
Jada explained to People that they had a sit down and it was all recorded for her Facebook Watch series Red Table Talk. “What was really emotional about it was realizing that there was two broken little girls in us that were abandoned by their fathers and turned into fighters who clashed,” Jada said.
“You have to treat people with kindness because you don’t know what they’re going through. When she told me her story, I had so much more compassion and it reiterated the necessity to just be gentle and kind because we’re all f****** devastated,” Jada added. “It was really beautiful and she reached out to me. She was much more bigger than me in that way. It was nice to reconnect and release ourselves from all that nonsense that doesn’t matter.”
Leah Remini is on the cover of LaPalme Magazine‘s new issue, where she’s wearing a dress designed by Lavanya Coodly.
Here’s what the Leah Remini: Scientology and the Aftermath star had to share with the mag…
On Katie Holmesand Nicole Kidmanand why they haven’t spoken out about Scientology: “I don’t consider myself a champion. The people who speak on the show are champions. But I keep wondering – why haven’t Katie Holmes or Nicole Kidman spoken out? I assume they were forced to sign prohibitive documents. Trust me, Katie‘s not allowed to have a meal with me, and we used to be close friends. She could lose custody of Suri. It’s quite sick, really.” Note: Katie‘s ex husband Tom Cruise, the father of Suri, is a Scientologist. Leah used to be a Scientologist.
Creative Director Derek Warburton (who is featured in the photo shoot), on Leah: “Leah Remini is a modern day version of Robinhood, but instead of stealing from the rich to give to the poor she is fighting against oppression and fighting for freedom. America sees Leah as the girl next door and I wanted to show another side of her. We all know her from being on our TV screens as the star of King of Queens and I wanted to show the world that she has huge range and can be as glamorous as any of her contemporaries. I had the most incredible experience with her. Throughout the day she would touch my face and say thank you, that is real appreciation, love and she showed how grateful she was for all of our assets. I cherish a survivor and that is what Leah Remini is. From building herself into an internationally known actress and an American sweetheart into a tough fighter against religious and cult oppression. I have nothing but respect for her journey.”
On if she thought she would be a myth-buster: “Certainly not!…I thought comedy would be my life.”
