Lance Armstrong's Son Accused of Sexually Assaulting 16-Year-Old, His Lawyer Responds

Famed cyclist Lance Armstrong‘s son, Luke, who is now 21 years old, is being accused of a rape that allegedly happened in June of 2018, when he was 18 and the girl was only 16.

He was arrested and charged in the sexual assault on Tuesday (April 6).

The events were detailed as followed: The 16-year-old was at a party, intoxicated, and called Luke to pick her up. She says she does not remember the drive home, and when she came to, she was on a couch in a location that was not familiar to her. She woke back up later and allegedly found Luke on top of her, allegedly raping her. She says she was not able to consent.

A phone call reportedly took place a few months ago between the now 19-year-old female and Luke, where he did admit to having sex with her at his dad’s house in Austin, Texas. Police have investigated and say they have found other witnesses who have corroborated her story.

Luke‘s lawyer released a statement to People, denying the allegations.

“A complete review of the facts will confirm what has been alleged absolutely did not occur and a proper and thorough legal process will exonerate Luke,” his lawyer told People. “What occurred three years ago in high school was not a crime and was not a sexual assault. It was a consensual relationship then and continued consensually between two young adults, with both ultimately going their separate ways. These charges should never have been filed, certainly not three years later. However, thankfully, the Texas court system works and will establish Luke’s innocence.”
