Matt LeBlanc Reveals the Weirdest Thing That Happened to Him While on 'Friends'

Matt LeBlanc is revealing the strangest thing that happened to him while starring on Friends!

The 52-year-old Man with a Plan actor sat down with host Kelly Clarkson in a pre-taped appearance of her Kelly Clarkson Show, released on Friday (April 3).

During the massive Friends hysteria in the ’90s, Matt said there was one “weird” moment that stood out.

“I remember one time, it was during the week, I had been flipping channels and watching the news and for some reason, they had a split-screen on the TV, six quadrants,” he told Kelly.

“Each was a live shot of each one of our houses, like a helicopter shot,” he continued. “I was watching it and there was no information or news, it was just showing houses.”

“I remember looking closely at my house and thinking ‘F— I need a new roof,’” he added. “So the helicopter flies away and I get the ladder and I go up there.”

“It feels somehow just as relevant as it did back then,” Matt said about the show. “It’s funny because we’re all so much older now. You look on TV and you think ‘Look you’re so young!’ And you come back and you’re like ‘Jesus.’”

Matt also shared details about the highly anticipated Friends reunion special at HBO Max, which has postponed production due to the coronavirus crisis.

“Guess you could call this the one where they all got back together — we are reuniting with David, Jennifer, Courteney, Matt, Lisa, and Matthew for an HBO Max special that will be programmed alongside the entire Friends library,” said Kevin Reilly, chief content officer at HBO Max (via THR). “I became aware of Friends when it was in the very early stages of development and then had the opportunity to work on the series many years later and have delighted in seeing it catch on with viewers generation after generation. It taps into an era when friends — and audiences — gathered together in real time and we think this reunion special will capture that spirit, uniting original and new fans.”
