Michael Shannon has joined the star-studded cast of the upcoming movie Bullet Train!

It has been announced that the 46-year-old two-time Oscar nominee will be joining the new assassin movie starring Brad Pitt, THR has confirmed.

David Leitch, who directed Atomic Blonde and Deadpool 2, will be directing the action thriller that also stars Joey King, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Brian Tyree Henry, Zazie Beetz and Andrew Koji.

The film is based on the Japanese novel “Maria Beetle” and here is the synopsis, via Deadline: “Five assassins find themselves on a fast moving bullet train from Tokyo to Morioka with only a few stops in between. They discover their missions are not unrelated to each other. The question becomes who will make it off the train alive and what awaits them at the terminal station?”

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel cast were joined at the event by Rachel‘s husband Jason Ralph, as well as Michael Shannon and his partner Kate Arrington, Russell Tovey, Kate Walsh, Annaleigh Ashford and J. Smith-Cameron.

Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, Netflix’s Marriage Story, Jojo Rabbit and Knives Out were among the film winners as the Casting Society of America handed out its 35th annual Artios Awards for film, TV and at separate ceremonies across two continents.

Rachel and The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel cast took home the award for Best Television Series Comedy.

“Tonight’s three Artios Award ceremonies were a fantastic celebration of the many contributions Casting Society of America members bring to the global entertainment community,” CSA President Russell Boast said (via Deadline). “We are bolstered by the ongoing advancements made to recognize our craft and will continue our commitment to supporting and advancing the work we do worldwide.”

The star-studded cast of Knives Out premiere their new movie at the Regency Village Theatre on Thursday night (November 14) in Westwood, Calif.

Cast members at the premiere included Chris Evans, Daniel Craig, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Jaeden Martell, Katherine Langford, Don Johnson, Anna de Armas, Riki Lindhome, and Noah Segan along with writer/director Rian Johnson.

Knives Out centers on a detective who investigates the death of a patriarch of an eccentric, combative family.

Michael Shannon stopped by The Tonight Show on Monday night (November 11) and brought Jimmy Fallon an Alvin and the Chipmunks onesie to wear while they chat about his movie Knives Out.

“I have one of those lives where, like, every day is a dream come true,” the 45-year-old actor said, as he watched host Jimmy buttoning the very special gift. “Like, I never thought in a million years when I was out playing in the creek behind my house in Kentucky when I was five, that I would someday be on a late night talk show and force a very famous man to put an Alvin and the Chipmunks shirt on.”

Michael then thought it would be good to put them to good use by wrestling in them while discussing his latest acting project, The Current War.

Benedict Cumberbatch and Tuppence Middleton stop by the Build Series to promote their new movie The Current War on Tuesday afternoon (October 22) in New York City.

Joining the stars at the interview was their co-star Michael Shannon and the movie’s director Alfonso Gomez-Rejon.

Benedict Cumberbatch is celebrating the premiere of his new film The Current War!

The 43-year-old actor hit the red carpet at the event on Monday evening (October 21) at AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York City.

He was joined by his wife Sophie Hunter as well as co-stars Michael Shannon and Tuppence Middleton.

Benedict, who played Thomas Edison in the film, recently opened up about his decision to play another scientist after portraying others in the science field in the past.

“The lure for this wasn’t just another scientist, but it was another extraordinary human being. It was tempting, had some aspects that I had never played before. I always try to look for work that gives me something new to think about,” Benedict told Innovation & Tech Today.

Everyone’s a suspect in the brand-new trailer for Knives Out!

In the comedy crime drama, writer and director Rian Johnson delivers a fresh and modern take on the classic “whodunnit” mystery genre, paying tribute to mystery mastermind Agatha Christie.

Here’s the synopsis: “When renowned crime novelist Harlan Thrombey (Christopher Plummer) is found dead at his estate just after his 85th birthday, the inquisitive and debonair Detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) is mysteriously enlisted to investigate.
