The first track on Taylor Swift‘s new album Midnights is titled “Lavender Haze” and it’s actually an old phrase that she recently came across.
In a recent video shared to social media, Taylor revealed that she learned the phrase while watching an episode of Mad Men and she talked about the meaning behind the phrase.
There’s a connection to Taylor‘s boyfriend Joe Alwyn in the song!

Taylor Swift has dropped a teaser trailer for her upcoming Midnights music videos and she revealed a list of 12 actors who will appear in the visuals.
The trailer was unveiled during the third quarter of Thursday Night Football on Prime Video on Thursday evening (October 20), just two hours before the drop of the highly-anticipated new album.
It’s not clear how many songs will be getting music videos yet, but it looks like several songs already have videos made.
The album will be available for downloading and streaming at the stroke of midnight EST on Friday morning (October 21). You can get it wherever you get your music!

The 32-year-old singer has slowly been rolling out the track list through her Midnights Mayhem with Me series on TikTok, but she took fans by surprise in the early morning hours of Friday (October 7).
Taylor revealed the final five song titles at the stroke of 12am, 1am, 2am, 3am, and 4am ET. One of the songs even features a very popular artist.
The album will be released on October 21, which is just two weeks away!
