Marvel's 'Shang Chi' Set to Resume Filming Soon

Marvel‘s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is heading back to production amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The film is hoping to restart production in late July in Sydney, Australia, Deadline reports. The film first began shooting in February, but was shut down due to Coronavirus. The studio is taking “careful steps” to ensure safety.

Everyone arriving in Australia will be immediately quarantined before being able to start work.

Simu Liu, Awkwafina and Tony Leung all star in the film.

The film has a release date of May 7, 2021 at the moment and it’s expected to kick off next year’s summer box office.

The Marvel movie Shang-Chi and the Legend of The Ten Rings just began filming before productions were shut down because of the ongoing health crisis.

Destin Daniel Cretton, the director of the upcoming movie, has shared a new photo that he snapped with the film’s lead actors from their last hangout before they went into quarantine.

“Pre-covid hang with @awkwafina, @simuliu & the legend Tony Leung. This was our last night out before Corona punched the world in the face,” Destin captioned the photo.
