Veronica Mars is among the most beloved modern TV shows of all time.

The teen drama, created by screenwriter Rob Thomas, centers around Kristen Bell as Veronica Mars, a student who doubles as a private investigator, with the help of her detective father, solving various mysteries. 

The show premiered in September of 2004 on UPN, ending in May of 2007, after a season on The CW. While it was cancelled after three seasons, the stars launched a fundraising campaign by 2013 to produce a film powered by fans through Kickstarter, which achieved its goal in a staggeringly quick amount of time, with the movie arriving in 2014, followed by a fourth season that arrived in 2019 on Hulu.

Since the show aired, many of its stars have gone on to achieve big things in their careers, amassing a significant amount of wealth.

It doesn’t look like another season of Veronica Mars will be happening anytime soon.

According to series creator Rob Thomas, there have not been any discussions with Hulu about bringing back the Kristen Bell-led series back for a fifth season, TV Line reports.

Hulu has not released any new information regarding a new season of Veronica Mars, but sources say the streaming service currently doesn’t have any plans to order another season.

Veronica Mars‘ eight-episode fourth season was released back in July to mostly positive ratings, but the shocking season finale twist upset a lot of fans.

All four seasons of Veronica Mars are currently available for streaming on Hulu now.

Kristen Bell is speaking out about the shocking death in the season four finale of Veronica Mars.

While attending the 2019 Summer TCA Press Tour, the 39-year-old actress addressed the fans “heartbreak” after Logan Echolls’ (Jason Dohring) shocking death.

“I know it’s a heartbreak and I know that maybe Veronica didn’t make your favorite decisions this season, but you have to understand, if everything was perfect and there was no conflict, you wouldn’t have a show,” Kristen shared. “There would be nothing to watch…She’s still got a lot to work through and I hope we’ll get to see it onscreen again if people forgive us.”

As of right now, Hulu hasn’t picked up Veronica Mars for a fifth season yet.

If you didn’t watch yet, Logan was involved in an explosion at the hands of the Neptune bomber after he married Veronica. Logan went to move Veronica’s car after the wedding, and the car had been rigged with an explosive device. Veronica realized, through a series of clues, that there had been an explosive in the car, but she came to this realization just moments too late as the car exploded.

Jason Dohring‘s character, Logan Echolls, is dead after being involved in an explosion in the season finale of the Veronica Mars reboot.

Now, Jason is reacting to what happened in the finale of the Hulu revival.

“I was crushed for like three days,” Jason told EW. “[Show creator Rob Thomas] said, ‘We’re going to shed the teenage drama aspect of the show. In an ideal world, I’d like to think [that] after building this relationship, maybe they’re right for each other so there’s not maybe a scenario where he can go off and be somewhere else where they don’t kind of keep coming together off and on. And Veronica does best as this underdog.’ And I think that at the end of the show, you really see her determination where she can pick herself up off the floor no matter what and continue and I think that that’s what the show is, so beautifully led by [Kristen Bell].”

The fourth season of Kristen Bell‘s beloved series Veronica Mars was just released a week earlier than expected!

The cast of the hit show announced during their panel at 2019 Comic-Con that all eight episodes of the new season are available for streaming right now. The episodes were supposed to be released on July 26.

In the new season, spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the family of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach.

The trailer gives fans more information on Logan’s (Jason Dohring) return and the couple’s relationship status, and the series of explosive crimes that have been happening in Neptune.

It also features her dad, Keith Mars (Enrico Colantoni), and more fan favorites.

The new season of Veronica Mars premieres on July 26 on Hulu, and the first three seasons will arrive on July 1.
