It’s official: Elon Musk and Grimes‘ first child together is named X AE A-XII Musk.

When the baby was first born last month, the couple revealed they actually wanted to name their child X Æ A-12 Musk.

Then the couple revealed a few weeks later that they actually had to change their son’s name and there was a specific reason why.

The birth certificate was revealed by TMZ and thoroughly explains that his first name is “X,” his middle name is “AE A-X,” and his last name is “Musk.”

Just recently, Grimes and partner Elon Musk revealed that they had to change their son’s name from X Æ A-12 to the new version of X Æ A-Xii.

“Roman numerals. Looks better tbh,” she wrote in a comment to a fan on Instagram, before explaining that California laws only allow you to have one dash in a first name.

The baby’s name is X Æ A-12: The X is pronounced “like the letter,” Æ is spoken like “ash,” and A-12 is said how it appears.

Elon said on The Joe Rogan Experience podcast that Grimes is the on who “mostly came up with the name.”

“A-12 was my contribution,” he said. “The Archangel-12, the precursor to the SR-71, the coolest plane ever.”

Grimes is confirming the name of her newborn child – which is…X Æ A-12!

The 32-year-old Miss Anthropocene artist confirmed the name, along with providing the meaning, in a tweet following her delivery on Tuesday (May 5).
