OlderAmy Winehouse & Jay-Z Team Up
Amy Winehouse leaves the Hard Rock Cafe after watching singer Bats For Lashes in London on Tuesday (March 31).
The 25-year-old singer might be enlisting the help of rapper Jay-Z to save her current album expected to be released this year. Winehouse is struggling with her record label who didn’t like the reggae tones that they heard on her current album.
Jay-Z, who already helped Amy by remixing her song “Rehab”, told the Sun, “Amy has a really powerful voice, it is so distinctive and beautiful. Hopefully in the future we could get together and work on some new material – I’d love to work with her again.”

I love her voice and find it hard to believe that the label would rebuff anything from this top selling artist!

You know, I really think that despite the young woman’s personal issues with love and addiction, she is one of the most original, talented artists of this generation and that is the basis upon which she should be judged. And she is her own person, never conforming to the carbon cut outs hollywood and the music industry try to fit every single female performer into. The jazz and blues singers of old–who partied haaard babies–would love Amy for her talent and her individuality. Keep it up lady, just stay alive!
