Mo'Nique -- Oscars 2010 Red Carpet

Mo’Nique looks electric as she arrives at the 2010 Oscars with her husband Sidney Hicks held at the Kodak Theater on Sunday (March 7) in Hollywood.

The 42-year-old comedienne and actress, wearing Jimmy Choo ‘Clue’ platform sandals, is up for a Best Supporting Actress at the big event for her work in Precious.

Mo’Nique plays an abusive mother in the film and recently spoke to CBS News about her character, Mary Jones.

“You know, first, I want to say, because I keep hearing the word ‘dark,’ that Mary Jones was very dark. Mary Jones was very honest,” Mo’Nique said. “And we confuse darkness with honesty. That film was very honest.”
