Alexander Skarsgard leaves the Urth Cafe after grabbing a cup of coffee on Friday (November 12) in Los Angeles.
Earlier this week, the 34-year-old True Blood star visited his girlfriend Kate Bosworth on the set of her movie BFF & Baby.
Last month, the couple went to the movies together on a date night after spending the night together the day before at the Scream Awards.
Alexander‘s True Blood co-star Ryan Kwanten is one of Gap‘s new faces. He is featured in the holiday ad campaign along with fellow Aussie Isabel Lucas.

I guess AS has to keep the sham romance going for the PR people he pays with as little effort as possible on his part. That’s what happens when you sell your soul to the devil. How pathetic. Along with Ryan Kwanten, there”s Joe Manganiello who may be in the running for the lead in the next Superman movie. They are both very talented and very hardworking actors who deserve to get A-list roles. AS is and always will be d-list Euro trash.
Why is his hair so greased down and flat these days? Maybe he’s balding, just like Blahsworth.

@Marty: You do know he was photographed at the Louisiana State University game on November 6 and she was spotted at James Beach Restaurant on November 7? No sightings of her at any of the tailgate parties either. These two people who got engaged weren’t even in the same place when it occurred?
You need to start using some common sense before you make up these lies. Unless you mean Brooklyn Decker? He was spotted with her last weekend. She’s married though, but maybe they do it differently in Sweden?

There is no need to shout. Anyone who dares to disagree with you just gets abuse from you. I don’t think studios care about popularity. AS had to audition 4 or 5 times to get the GK part and he was not known outside of Sweden at the time. He got the part in TB just after he finished filming GK and still was not famous then. He only became famous due to the show. So I will continue to believe that the casting people in HW know what they do and give out roles based on auditions and suitability rather than popularity.
And yes, you are right, no one across the pond has probably ever heard of the Moomins, it’s pretty well known in Europe though, especially in Scandinavia and it will probably only be released there so I doubt AS took the role to become more popular. Legend of the Guardians on the other hand only reached #5 in the UK box office in its opening week and then disappeared 3 weeks later. I am just saying this for the sake of argument, not to belittle Ryan K, he is perfect as Jason, imo.
Again, you are right, “Lars Von Trier is not Spielberg, Cameron, Scorsese or Lucas” nor does he want to be, I imagine. Catering for the masses would compromise the very different approaches he uses in film making and the controversial subject matters he explores. I am not trying to argue I am just trying to get you to take your blinkers off and see the world from a different angle. Not everything is about money and popularity (maybe in the US it is), but there are real artists out there who like to express themselves and not worry about whether they are popular or not. How many tv actors went on to become major movie stars? Not many, maybe 10 in the past 40 years. And most of them start off with supporting roles or become character actors. Also, newsflash: there is a world out there full of AS fans who don’t read gossip sites, blogs and forums, just support Alexander for his acting, I was one of them, until I was off work ill for a week once, got bored and found these sites. But the fact that I read this sh*t doesn’t say anything about me (actually posting makes it worse, lol) apart from that I am slightly insomniac and that I was bored. Yes, I could have just gone and read a book (I wish I had now). But you probably made up your mind that I am a ‘crazy fangurl’ and can’t see anything else from your blinkers.
To those who think AS wasn’t good in Season 3, Dennis O’Hare of course stole every scene he was in, but that’s not to the detriment of Alexander, his acting is a lot more low key, and his character doesn’t require the same acting as Dennis’. I think he was pretty good in Season 3, slightly different from ‘book Eric’ but he made it his own.

Sweetie , my first movies were Woody Allen and Disney…. my mother was a freak like that. I know a lot about art houses movies and directors. However, to belittle the endeavors of directors that appeal to the masses is trite and belittling to others.I I have no blinkers on…I see things as they truly are. I like a lot of people and things , however I fully understand and accept their flaws.

Personally I don’t think Gustaf thinks much of Bosworth but who knows – he certainly knows how to stay private.
I think it’s a given that Alex won’t get the same carrer as Ryan and Joe – for the reason alone that he’s not from an English speaking country. Maybe his boat has sailed – I don’t know. Only time will tell. It seems rather obvious that dating Bosoworth ain’t doing him much good. I wonder if it’ll last in the long run though – I can’t really see her move to Sweden as he seems to want to do.
Speaking of Sweden – I really like Joel and I think he’s a great actor especially in Snabba Cash – see the original! He has quite the reputation as a ladies man back home. It’ll be interesting to see how it plays out for him in Hollywood.

I wouldn’t count him out just yet. The fact that he’s not a native American English speaker has nothing to do with his success. Anyone with enough will and dedication can be proficient in any accent or language they chose. I think he did a great job on GK with the help of his language coach. Success is an individual thing. If you mean big box office success by non native English speakers……Arnold with his butchered English anyone? Not everybody equates blockbuster success as their ideal. Daniel Day Lewis has had both. But most of all he’s a great actor that’s more known for his outstanding performances in “small” movies.
Btw, Joe has his own niche but I really don’t think he will attain the success of RyK.
AS can still turn it around. I hope he does.

@TrueBlade: I’m just trying to think of other actors from Northen Europe who has made it big in Hollywood – since that seems to be what people think, you have to do, to be considered succesful. I can’t think of many. There’s Max Von Sydow, there’s Stellan.. that’s about it? I don’t know what Alex should achieve for people here to call him a succes? I guess his future depends a lot on Battleship but I think Melancholia will be big for him. Strawdogs seems dead to me – I wonder how it’ll affect their relationship.

There are so many wonderful actors and movies from across the globe. Sophia Loren, Penelope Cruz, Xavier Bardem, Salma Hayek, Sweden’s own Ingrid Bergman, etc…there are too numerous to name. There are some that are homegrown that left for greener pastures…Mel Gibson( New Jersey), Sienna Miller, Nicole Kidman( born in Hawaii) that we think are foreigners.
Bottomline. no matter what the accent or origin, talent is what counts. I still think he’s talented and oddly good looking, shaven or not. I like that he wears his 10 pieces of clothes again…and again…and ….again…Okay…we might have to hold a telethon for that.
I really think he’s talented and needs to concentrate on his craft instead of BS.

The rest of your post was very well spoken and balanced and I agree with most of it. It’s not very often on here that the posts don’t just end up in a disagreement and battle of words.
Anyway, I wish that JJ would just leave the discussion of KB out of the Alex threads. As I think the majority of his fans don’t want to hear about her (let alone see her posts every week). IMO I think that Alex has more talent in his pinky then KB has had her entire career, and I wish his acting talent could be the focus not his supposed showmance/romance.
