Ryan Reynolds: CinemaCon Awards 2011

Ryan Reynolds, recipient of the Male Star of the Year award, arrives at the 2011 CinemaCon Awards held at Pure in Caesars Palace on Thursday (March 31) in Las Vegas.

The 34-year-old actor is set to play the voice of a garden snail who dreams of winning the Indy 500 in the upcoming movie, Turbo, USA Today reports.

Director David Soren (Merry Madagascar) explains the plot as, “Dropping one of the world’s slowest creatures into the high-speed world of motor sport was the launching point for a heartfelt underdog story and a racing movie with a brand new point of view.” The DreamWorks cartoon feature will be coming out in March 2013.
