Ashley Olsen: Newsweek Feature!

Ashley Olsen heads to a waiting SUV after visiting the Greenwich Hotel on Tuesday (April 26) in New York City.

The 24-year-old fashionista is back in town after taking a trip to Paris with her twin sister and business partner, Mary-Kate.

MKand Ashley are featured in a new article in Newsweek, and the ladies chatted about wanting to high quality products from locations close to home.

“I really believe in our being able to create here and utilize the skills that people have here,” Ashley said. “The skill set is here. Our main issue is that some of the machinery is gone, so some knitwear is produced in Italy. But whether it’s clothing or cars, I believe in manufacturing as close to home as possible.”

    However, it doesn’t stop them from wearing and driving products made in other countries. Don’t care that they do, but don’t take the high and mighty road about manufacturing close to home when you are more than willing to buy from abroad.

    I agree that most things made overseas can be made here. America is ending because Americans dont want those jobs and we dont know how to even do them anymore because all the factories are gone. We need to bring back the jobs of the working class. The rich dont follow what they preach-so ya their clothes are made somewhere else.

    who cares which troll twin it is anyway?

    And the Rich is getting RICHER!!!

    Bravo to her. Smart comment, regardless of what she can buy for herself with all of her money. If she insists that their label consists mostly of products made in the US, that is fabulous, and smart! If i had all their money, I’d buy the best things in the world too. For them to be interested in reframing our production capabilities with the development and manufacture of their high-end products – I love that. Bravo!

    @justme:

    Exactly, they BOUGHT their success with the money they lucked into. I’m sure they employed people with real talent from the very beginning. Kind of like Donny Big Mouth Trump buying his success with his rich Daddies money.

    The real commentary here people is that Newsweek, a legitimate hard news magazine is publishing an article on the Olsen Twins.

    The “Olsen Twins” are widgets that were created by a very smart lawyer and business brain that percentagize them to this day.

    They are in fact like Mr Potato Head created by Hasbro to make money.

    They have professionals making every significant decision for them.

    The absolute absurdity is to suggest they are anything else…… I told you the magazine business is dying.

  • hmm

    i love her flats. anyone know the bland or similar flats?
