Emmy Rossum: I Wasn't Scared of 'Shameless' Nude Scenes

The 24-year-old actress recently chatted about her “very ballsy” Showtime series Shameless.

“They’re a band of crazy outsiders,” she told Variety about the characters, adding that playing Fiona is fun because she’s “so strong and fierce.”

As for the love scenes, “Sexuality is a big part of life. If you’re going to show poverty and family struggle in a realistic kind of way then you need to show sexuality,” she said.

“I wasn’t scared of it. Fiona has a masculine attitude about sex,” she added. “Besides, I figured if [co-star William H.] Macy was going to do it, I was going to do it.”
