Taylor Lautner Covers 'Seventeen' October 2011

Taylor Lautner covers Seventeen magazine’s October 2011 issue, on newsstands Tuesday, September 13!

Here’s what the 19-year-old Abduction actor had to share:

On if there was an instant connection with costar Lily Collins: “Absolutely. You can feel some sort of chemistry or a connection when you are reading a script with someone for the first time. And that was totally the case with Lily.”

On where he sees himself in five years: “I believe in the saying, ‘If you aim at nothing, you’re going to hit nothing.’ So if you don’t set goals, then you have nowhere to go. I guess winning an Oscar is the ultimate dream. A lot of amazing actors go their whole career without even being nominated. So that would definitely be a goal to reach. It’s a difficult one, but I’m aiming for it!”

Can these people stop it with trying to win an Oscar?? That’s not the point of the craft of acting. Many greats have never gotten an Oscar but it doesn’t mean that they aren’t great! I would say that no even wanting fo make tons of money ould be a goal either. The goal is to get amazing roles that you can go in on and turn out, working with great artists from all over the world and basically being very creative and daring, interpreting material from your point of view. If you get an Oscar that’s just icing on a cake. It’s good for marketing puposes letting the industry put you in a different category (we like you the best this year) but it’s useless if you don’t bring it talent wise in other projects. The Oscar although important, is not the measure of one’s career.

oscars are completely political in nature … i have watched my last oscar show after toy story 3 won best animated show over how to train your dragon which was superior in every way … better animation … better story. toy story won solely based on tom hanks being attached to the project.

MAYBE AN OSCAR IN SCREENWRITING (PROBABLY A FLUKE) OR IN DIRECTING (WHICH WILL SO NOT HAPPEN TILL THE 2ND COMING OF JESUS CHRIST) BUT ONLY A DUMB F**K WOULD BET THEIR MONEY ON THIS TALENTLESS DOUCHE TO WIN AN OSCAR IN PURE ACTING. IF THIS LAUTNER’S BIG WISH WERE TO BE ADAPTED INTO A COMEDY, IT WOULD WIN A S**T LOAD OF OSCARS.
