John Mayer Cancels Spring Tour

John Mayer Cancels Spring Tour

John Mayer is canceling his spring tour after discovering that the granuloma on his vocal cords has returned.

“Okay, so here’s the plan… Born and Raised will be released as scheduled, but because I don’t make a very good anything-other-than-a-musician, I’m going to begin writing the next album very soon,” the 34-year-old entertainer wrote on his Tumblr.

“I’m pretty emotionally burnt out at the moment, but please know how hard I tried to resolve this and how disappointed I am that I can’t perform this record yet. I’m completely bummed, especially for all of you who started making plans to see a show. Nothing feels worse than having to break the stage down before the performance, and I mean nothing,” he added.

Nothing feels worse than that? Really?? Obviously he has led a very charmed life because there is a hell of a lot worse things than not getting to perform a show.

@Shawna:

As a musician. He is saying as a musician there is nothing worse than not being able to perform your music for the people you love and who love to hear it.

I’m sorry to hear this news. I hope he has loving support to help him get through this difficult time.

Did he ruin his career by saying crazy politically not-correct things like two years ago and are these comments of his now just a cover for poor ticket sales as a result? What’s going on with John Mayer, who almost everyone used to love? You can’t be an original great talent by saying all the same things everyone else is saying all the time. He’s a truly nice guy!

So looking forward to Mayer’s new album and sad that he will not be able to perform. Wishing him success in his recovery. This sounds a bit serious.
