@No Japan fan pics: I’m presuming he headed back to LA as soon as possible after the premiere, since he’s still working on TB. And he had a movie contract to sign.

  • mforman

@Texas Swede—Welcome back, I am so glad that you are back home. I hope you are not in alot of pain.
The more I read about this movie, the more I think AS is going to be great, it is about time HW started to take notice of him, because he is one actor that in my opinion never disappoints.
He left Japan already because he had to go back and work on TB. I still think it was great that he got to go to one of the European premieres because he missed out on so many.

  • TEXAS SWEDE

@mforman: And Ladybug. Thanks. Home and exhausted. Surgery is next Tuesday. Alex looks good in the Japan promo shots and the premier shots also. The one pose I think is a “I should have worn thermal undies.” pose. LOL If he was a woman I would have thought like others that it was a “I have to pee.” stance.

Now so that no one takes this next comment wrong I want you to picture me here grinning from ear to ear shaking my head with the irony of it all. Everyone got the tone. Does anyone else find it funny as all get out that the first studio film he get since Battleship is one directed by twin brother directors. ROFLMBFAO

    Bad Texas Swede! :)

@ladybug: Making Eric’s ‘just ate the fairy godmother’s face’ Sowwy.

  • ladybug

    @TEXAS SWEDE: No, you’re not! :)

And someday TB will provide us with blooper reels-I want to know how many takes were done to get that scene ‘right’.

  • TEXAS SWEDE

@ladybug: You are right. But I tried.
Oh man I am waiting for those. Can you imagine how hard it must be for them to keep those stoic faces for some of the scenes? Professionals or not sometimes it is just too funny.
    And the “Fang” malfunctions!

  • ladybug

@TEXAS SWEDE: Fang malfunctions, ‘blood’ malfunctions, etc. Some of the scenes between Stephen and Alex, they probably just giggle a lot. The Forever 21 scene from S2, for example.

  • TEXAS SWEDE

@ladybug: I would love to be a fly on the wall at the shoots. That is one job I would love to have just once in my life. To shoot promo stills for a TB season. I am afraid I might have to take some personals though. Wonder if they would put it in contract? LOL I would be ok with a clause saying I could not publish them for say 3 years. I am flexible.;)

  • Canuck

@ladybug: True enough. And depending on which city it takes place in, bomb shelters would have been underground/metro/subway/tube stations, active or abandoned.

  • Canuck

@TEXAS SWEDE: Those would be priceless!

  • Camille

Well at least Alex won’t open a twitter with these twin brothers. :)

  • Professor

@Camille: LOL I think it should be called tweedle for some accounts. I know Ladybug..Bad me. Bad me. ;)

  • TEXAS SWEDE

@Professor: That’s my line. But the comment if funny as he)).

he needs to be in romantic comedy the perfect guy

  • ladybug

@youyou: He may be the perfect guy for a romantic comedy, but I don’t think that’s really the type of movie that he wants to be doing right now. Comedy, perhaps, rom-coms probably not. Remember the Men’s Journal interview:
“Right now that means taking roles like the one in What Maisie Knew – an adaptation of the Henry James novella and the reason he’s in New York – and not, say, the role of the generically handsome guy in the latest Katherine Heigl rom-com. One, because that’s not very interesting, and two, because quick, name that guy. “You tend to get a lot of offers that are, like, the hot guy,” SkarsgĂ„rd says, “and those parts aren’t very fun. I hope there’s something more to me than my pecs.”
I suspect that we’re all going to have wait awhile to see him in a comedy, romantic or otherwise.

  • hmmmmmmm

@youyou- I agree he would be perfect. Something like High Fidelity type of movie.

  • ladybug

@hmmmmmmm: In other words, a ‘smart’ rom-com, even something along the lines of Love, Actually?

  • hmmmmmmm

@ladybug- yeah. And you can throw in a type of Grosse pointe like black comedy.

  • ladybug

@hmmmmmmm: There’s a John Cusack theme going here. I love Grosse Pointe Blank:
“They all have husbands and wives and children and houses and dogs, and, you know, they’ve all made themselves a part of something and they can talk about what they do. What am I gonna say? “I killed the president of Paraguay with a fork. How’ve you been?”

So, once he’s done with TB and The Vanguard he should definitely try to fit in more comedies of all types.

So nice to see pleasant comments about Alex for a change. The best of luck to him in Hidden.
