Michelle Obama to Beyonce: Thanks for Your Beautiful Letter!

Beyonce rocks a pair of A.L.C. leopard print pants while heading inside Madison Square Garden on Sunday (April 15) in New York City.

The 30-year-old entertainer, joined by hubby Jay-Z, watched the Miami Heat defeat the home team, New York Knicks, 93-85.

Beyonce recently wrote an open letter to Michelle Obama thanking the First Lady for being the “ultimate example of a truly strong African American woman.”

“No matter the pressure, and the stress of being under the microscope – she’s humble, loving, and sincere,” Bey added.

“@Beyonce Thank you for the beautiful letter and for being a role model who kids everywhere can look up to. ”mo,” Michelle wrote on her Twitter page.

    Not a cute couple!!

@Marina: Stop calling our First Lady ‘Michelle’, it’s disrespectful and it was also disrespectful of Beyonce to refer to her as that.

I am disappointed in our First lady Mrs Michelle Obama.
I thought she had more class and more sense than to call Beyonce a ‘role model to children’. Beyonce, THE Beyonce who goes on stage and p*ssy pops and her disgusting music/lyrics and her husband who has made millions from degrading women, especially black women, and uplifting thug life and who sold drugs and has made a mockery out of African American culture. He sickens me.
I am sickened by our President and First lady promoting these people, even listening to their music and letting their daughters listen to it.

I have no more words…I am so disappointed.

A woman that wasn’t proud to be an American until her own husband became president. Imagine a world in which we become proud of our family members and being American only after said relation becomes a dictator.

A man who has a wife like Michelle.

    What a couple.

  • yeah

Something that was put to rest in 2008, but for some crazy reason you’re trying to argue about it again:

Barack Obama’s campaign issued this statement on the flap: “Of course Michelle is proud of her country, which is why she and Barack talk constantly about how their story wouldn’t be possible in any other nation on Earth. What she meant is that she’s really proud at this moment because for the first time in a long time, thousands of Americans who’ve never participated in politics before are coming out in record numbers to build a grassroots movement for change.”

  • hmm

so this is what we call “kissing up” is huh
what shes wants to get in their “good book” to have more special treatments, ugh
honestly I like Beyonce for her music and all, and she seems sweet but this is wayy too much
great singer but not much of a role model for kids. Like thats Taylor Swift,Selena Golmez.talented and humble

I’m not african or american or african american. I have however been a second class citizen. I’m about the Obamas’ age.
I can say that where I lived, even as a 2nd class citizen, I’ve had the right to vote, I’ve had the right to sit down in a bus without having to vacate a seat just because I’m a different colour to the first class citizen.
the people who criticise Michelle Obama for saying that she’s proud to be American for the first time are the very people who would LOOOOOOVE TO keep blacks in the back of the bus, out of public swimming pools and schools and generally keep the apartheid.
As a non african, non american and therefore non african american, I can nevertheless honestly say that the election of Barack Obama as president is something ALL AMERICANS can be proud of – even if it means allowing fools like Ted to comment.

It’s very clear that on the internet some people have nothing else going in their lives other than to come onto gossip sites, and spew hate. It gets to be ridiculous and absurd when false and misleading charges are lobbed against the Obamas, especially when the accusations were dismissed four years ago. It’s like these crazy critics are throwing everything but the kitchen sink at the Obamas – the birth certificate nonsense was a joke, so they moved onto questioning his grades, and now, Fox News actually was raising a question about how the Secret Service scandal would reflect on President Obama (note that a Secret Service agent was caught in a prostitution scandal during the Bush administration, and Fox News never raised a similar question about how that would reflect on Bush.)

I just want to know how it is that she lost her pregnancy breasts (if she indeed was ever pregnant to begin with) so fast. Still say the pregnancy was faked, has she at all ever shown a picture of herself ( belly pic ). No, one only with her in supposed to be early pregnancy in a swimsuit. And I bet all you ladies could stick your stomach out that far without being pregnant. Beyonce, stop being so phoney there’s nothing wrong with having a surrogate to carry a baby for you so why lie about it. Just cut the bullsh@t and be real.

  • Ronda!!

Two beautiful Women admiring and supporting each other. I love it.

  • lmao

Beyonce is always nose browsing…she does it with Gwen Paltrow, the Obamas and people who she think is going to top her in sale records, i.e. if someone is on top you can be sure that Beyonce will do a duet with that person. Heaven forbid if anyone becomes or is threatening to be more popular.

  • Humorme

That is so true! Ive noted that abt her. I dnt understand y some celebrities feel the need to be in the media constantly, and sometimes for crazy silly things.
Beyonce loves power n powerful people.
