Tony Awards 2012 Nominations Announced

The nominees for the 2012 Tony Awards are out!

Kristin Chenoweth and The Big Bang Theory star Jim Parsons unveiled the nominations at The New York Public Library for Performing Arts on Tuesday (May 1) in NYC.

The romantic comedy Once leads the pack with 11 nominations, including Best Musical, Best Actor, and Best Actress. The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess followed closely behind with 10 nominations.

Neil Patrick Harris will host this year’s ceremony, which airs live on June 10 at 8/7c on CBS.

Hugh Jackman will be presented with a Special Tony Award during the telecast. He’s “being honored for his contributions to the Broadway community, both as a performer and humanitarian; his tireless dedication to charitable works of many types; and his personal generosity of spirit.”
