Jesse Williams should have been Finnick. I’ll still Netflix this though.

# 2

Sam Claflin is fine.

# 3

Sam Claflin is so damn gorgeous… He’s the perfect Finnick!! Always knew it!

# 4

it’s kind of embarrassing how excited I was when I saw these pics lol

I remember Kristen Bell said in an interview how she would love to play this one character but they cast Jena Malone instead (to play it) I haven’t read the books and I don’t know who would be better but I just like Kristen Bell very much (((

@kaie: You and me both, Kaie. So freaking exciting! I love this cast.

# 7

@DanaJ: Kristen is a huge fan of the books, and though I think she could pull off Johanna’s personality well, I think Jena fits the character traits better, both in age and appearance.

whos going to play annie cresta?!

Holy crappy THE WHOLE FREAKING CAST (minus Jennifer) I AM FREAKING OUT.

they royally screwed up the casting for finnick….

only reason i will be seeing this film is cos sam claflin is in it

Sam Claflin, my sexy sexy hubby

I would rather have Lachlan Buchanan as Finnick & Phoebe Tonkin as Johanna though… @Anna:

I hate that we have to wait until next NOVEMBER to see this film. I don’t understand why they are building the hype up for the franchise and releasing it so late. The first film was released just a few months after it finished filming. I don’t get why they can’t release Catching Fire in March or even the summer. What bothers me is that they are releasing the Mockingjay movies a year a part!!!!

I love The Hunger Games and I felt that the timing for the first film’s release was perfect. However, they now are waiting until much later to release the film. I will have probably forgotten about the franchise by then and maybe i’ll catch it on DVD….10 years from now.

Awful casting for Finnick. Hopes aren’t very high – the first one did okay, but not spectacularly well.

They should have had Alan Ritchson play Finnick, his look fits the part so much better than Sam’s.

@Pete: Why rush it so bad? Better wait that have them release complete garbage. Give them time to get the script, the cast, the production as good as they can before they film. In fact, a lot of people think (Gary Ross included) that Catching Fire was rush into production. That’s why he didn’t take the offer to direct Catching Fire. Plus, the movies are not gonna last forever. Once they are over, that’s that. I rather they are release in a timely manner. That means they are going to be around for longer.

@Rose: Finnick is a more demanding acting role. I’m certain Sam got the part because he gave an excellent audition. Looks are just the added bonus (a they should be). ;)

Sam looks exactly how I imagined Finnick. Impressed.

@Anna: He can’t even act though, so I don’t know why everyone wanted him.

the white kids who complained about the last film have no reason to complain here. they should be proud

well i complained excessively when i saw the cast for the first movie but was pleasantly surprised by how much i liked the movie. i don’t like who they are casting as finnick either but hopefully he’ll surprise me like jennifer lawrence did with katniss. i still don’t like liam hemsworth as gale.. but what can i do >_>
