Ryan Lochte Gets Asked To Prom - For Charity!

Celebs get asked to proms and birthdays all the time, but it isn’t every day someone puts in this much effort!

Danielle Jennette, a high school senior from Suffolk, Virginia started the Twitter account @ryanlochteprom in hopes of getting swimming champ Ryan Lochte to go to prom with her. She even started fundraising for one of the charities he sponsors, Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy!

Ryan just sent Danielle, who’s also a swimmer, a dozen roses over the weekend with the following note: “Hi Danielle: I’m sorry I can’t make it to your prom. Your support for Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy means a lot to me, so thank you from the bottom of my heart. Good luck in your meets and maybe I’ll see you at the next Olympic Games! ;) �”Ryan.” Aw, so sweet!

“I’m still fangirling over these roses from @ryanlochte! Lol” Danielle tweeted yesterday.

Meantime, Ryan has been training non-stop, even with the announcement of his new E! show, show announcement reaction below from Tuesday: “I am so excited about my new show and even more excited I can finally talk about it! Swimming is still my focus. Training for Rio is my priority�” that won’t change. This is just another way for me to connect with my fans (who were the driving force behind the show), and follow me as I prep for the 2016 Games.”
