“It was written in lots of different circumstances, but I guess it’s coming out at a time where I think in America it’s kinda cool to hear something like this,” the 37-year-old singer told BBC Radio 1. “It’s in keeping with what I released before, so I’m gonna gradually ease people into the new sound as the album goes on.”

The “Bring the Noize” video will be released on June 21. Her fourth album Matangi still doesn’t have a release date yet!
