'The Butler' Tops This Weekend's Box Office
Lee Daniels’ The Butler, starring Forest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey, has topped this weekend’s box office with a $25 million debut!
According to THR, coming in at No. 2 was the Jennifer Aniston and Jason Sudeikis-led comedy We’re the Millers, which earned $17.8 million.
Tied for third place were Chloe Moretz‘s Kick-Ass 2 sequel, and Matt Damon and Jodie Foster‘s sci-fi flick Elysium, both bringing in $13.6 million.
Rounding out the top five was Planes, which earned $13.1 million.
Meanwhile, Jobs, the biopic starring Ashton Kutcher, made $6.7 million, and Liam Hemsworth‘s latest film Paranoia opened with $3.5 million.
