Dita Von Teese: 'It Wasn't Always Easy For Me' in My Career

Dita Von Teese and a group of pals head to Stamp Proper Foods for a bite to eat together on Wednesday (April 16) in Los Feliz, Calif.

The 41-year-old burlesque beauty and lingerie designer sat down for an interview with Bloomberg, where she discussed her new line.

“My relationship with lingerie has always been about seduction of self,” Dita said. “My first job was working in a lingerie store…I feel like women are more adventurous now. They’re trying new things.”

“It wasn’t always easy for me in the course of my career. I walked into a strip club in 1991 and it was all blondes and rock and roll music and neon bikinis…I walked in and thought ‘Oh yeah, there’s no one like me here!’” Dita said.
