Baz Luhrmann stops to pose for photographers as he arrives at the 2014 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 5) in New York City.

The 51-year-old filmmaker was joined on the red carpet by his wife Catherine Martin.

According to The Wrap, Baz is in negotiations to direct an upcoming Elvis Presley biopic written by Kelly Marcel. Details on the project are being kept under wraps by the studio, but we can’t wait to see it!

    His wife made some speech at the Oscars and she was extremely obnoxious. She also looks that way in this photo.

    @Ugh: I agree but i’d say she’s the lesser of the two evils since she is talented in the design department. Her “husband” on the other hand (I’m sure he is not the one wearing the pants in this “marriage”) is about 100x more obnoxious with absolutely no talent or brains behind his blabber. He just doesn’t know when to quit. After the crash and burn of “Australia” he still pressed on to make the equally meandering “Gatsby” and unfortunately Leo’s tween cattle demographic, the ones too lazy to read the book of course, ate that sh*t up and now Baz can finance yet another ****. It’s a vicious cycle really.
