Adele Confirms Album Title '25,' Will Tour in 2015: Report

UPDATE: There is “no truth in this,” a rep told Billboard. Bummer! Stay tuned for an announcement from Adele, which will hopefully come soon!

Adele has reportedly confirmed that her new album is called 25 and she will be touring her new music in 2015!

“#adele confirms 2015 Tour After The Release Of Her New Album ’25′!” the World Music Awards wrote on their Twitter account.

Adele, who turned 26 years old in May, hinted at the album title on her birthday on her own Twitter account. “Bye bye 25… See you again later in the year x” she wrote.

Her album 21 was a huge hit and ran as the longest running number one on the Billboard 200 in over two decades.

We hope this news is true – it’s been so long since we’ve heard new Adele music!

I LOVE her and I’m excited for this, but I wish she would stop doing the age # album titles, it’s gotten old!!!

  • Uhu

Why does she name all her albums after her age? It might have been cute the first time but now it’s just pointless. Is a singer or artist necessarily defined by her age?

  • Bessie

No artist names their albums after their age. That’s her schtick.

After the first two albums, it’s silly to go back now. She wants to be known as the singer who names her albums after the last year of age she experienced before she released it. Short and simple. It’s all about the music!

  • Searcy

Yeah. Can’t wait. Adele means a quality album of music!

  • Alaia

Seriously, people are complaining about the name of her albums? Christ, go worry about real things!

  • finally

    yeah!!! cant wait for it!!!

There’s a new album coming later in the year and a tour for next year, but nothing has been made official yet, which is why her label is having to deny this. It makes it sound like it’s coming tomorrow, when it’s still a few months away yet.

@Bessie: I mostly agree with you, but I don’t think she names it ‘after the last year of age she experienced before she released it’ as much as she names it after the age she was during the time of her life when she felt the inspiration to write the material and record them. When I was 19 I had so many emotions going on and my life was drastically changed at 21 as well as 25…I was going through so many different things at that time and if I had written music and recorded would’ve been like a diary of some sort of what my life was at that point in time. I think that’s why she names them after her age…it’s like she’s basically putting a timestamp on her ‘journal entry’. Does that make sense?

I don’t care about the title I just want her to come back with good music.

  • In The Know

She’s the greatest singer in the last 25 years…..full stop.

I adore how raw, real, humble and honest Adele is.

When I look at other (usually female) singers and actors, all I see are the same old plastic, vacant, stares, artificial trout-pouts attached to sickeningly empty souls devoid of personality, clutching their desperately tacky ‘attention-neediness’ like grubby old security blankets.

But not Adele; she’s pure class, pure humanity, purely herself and refreshingly stands as her own person, beautiful curves and all.

Without even trying, Adele sets a whole new standard that few will ever aspire to, much less attain; the air is rare up there.

I hope she always manages to remain true to herself and be herself, no matter how many successes keep rushing to catch up to her.
