Great job, even if the song is a bit played out.

Glee should have just been named The Lea Michele Show … no one else ever gets to sing … everyone else gets to sing like one song a season and then just sing backup for Lea. She slaughters anything that isn’t from a musical … I hope we get to hear everyone this last season. Kevin McHale has one of the strongest voices on the show but he is only allowed to roll around on stage … weak

  • JSDA

That is just a lie. If you are going to make up crap at least be smart about it.

  • nemo

her voice is soooo boring… like she has only 1 singing function.

  • JC

She’s ran her course with me. I’m SO done & over with her. Next.

  • FerCat

Essentially nothing wrong with her version, may even be more suitable. But as always with younger singers they lack the emotional depth that an older singer can convey. Something Idina delivered.

Just like Leonard Cohen’s ‘Hallelujah’. Younger singers constantly fail in delivering the true emotion of that song, they get the first part okay but are clueless in the middle and end. KD Lang performed one of the best renditions of Hallelujah, I must say.

I thought Brad of the vamps did hallelujah justice

Math doesn’t lie … you might try it sometime

  • FerCat

Noticed they didn’t do the full version. They did well at the start but by the time they get deep into the middle they fail to reach it’s emotional crux.
Analogous to why you get mature actors to play mature roles. They ‘get’ it.

i dont think so…that is how Rachel is feeling, IMO i believe lea can sing that song just as powerful but that is not how Rachel is feeling. Lea brings so much emotion to songs given to her.

  • Charlton

    Of course she did….

  • FerCat

Yes, she can bring emotion but not the layered emotion Idina delivered. Voice wise, Lea did pretty well.

Maturity comes with time, it can’t be helped.

  • JSDA

yeah ok everyone else only sang one song a season. No that isn’t a flat out lie at all. Must be new math.

  • Vanzekin

Sorry, but your mom Adele Dazeem is 1000 times better.

  • Sanna Leena

Of course Lea gets to sing Let it go! Everything for Murphys favourite hag!

  • JSDA

You really have a boner for Lea hate. First you attack her on her own instagram whenever possible now trolling stories about her. Let it go, because you are the one looking like a hag right about now.

  • jakesaquel

Look up Jeff Buckley’s version if you haven’t already :)

(Of Hallelujah, not Let It Go)

  • FerCat

YES, I forgot about him. His rendition gave me goosebumps. Truly heartfelt.
