Iggy Azalea Announces Social Media Break: 'Peace Out!'

Iggy Azalea has quite a few words to say after people reacted to her recent bikini pics in a negative light.

“Just got back from a great vacation, came online and saw apparently it’s shocking and unheard of to be a woman and have cellulite. Lol,” the 24-year-old rapper started off her string of tweets.

  • Last Blonde In LA

don’t take it too seriously …the better excuse for sleeping well

  • Christopher I. Gomes

I kinda agree with her. But it is only what you make it?

  • CopperCutie

    Damn that thing is ugly.

  • Eeww

It says a lot about what type of person you are when you BULLY, INSULT & SHAME someone like Iggy in order to feel better about yourself.

It’s sad to think that tearing apart a woman you don’t know & never met is something to be proud about, pathetic!

  • Penny Dreadful

She’ll be back in a week. Just look at how she tweets. She’s like a crazy person. I don’t know ANYONE who tweets like that. She’s addicted to it. She won’t stay away for long.

  • WW1968

So it’s okay for her to throw shade at people on social media, but when she’s the target, then it’s “ugly”? Sounds like the pot calling the kettle black to me. When she can rap in voice she didn’t rip off from Lil’ Kim, maybe I’ll take her seriously.

  • WW1968

Iggy’s done her fair share of shade throwing on social media, so she’s a hypocrite if nothing else.

  • Samm Lacroix

“The Internet is the ugliest reflection of man kind there is”–no Iggy. That is religion

  • Kris

    k, Bye!!!

  • Mental Floss

Iggy, so you have cellulite. Big deal. You have what most women have cellulite. So what? At least you are a real woman, and not a plasticized one.
Embrace yourself, warts, cellulite and all.
You are a talented woman I and hope that you wont let this incident dim your light. You have much to offer.

  • Larry1969

Oh, shit, Sammi. That’s an epic comment. Respect.

  • Anastatia Bagans

That’s why..serious celebrities stay away from social media. It’s the smartest thing to do honestly. Plus, this girl gets a swarm of hate, more than I have ever seen, so I get it.

  • kelly

I mean, I’d probably call Edward Norton, Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Russell Crowe, Emma Watson, etc. “serious celebrities” and they all have Twitter accounts. However, they use it mostly to support causes/their career… Instead of useless crap like Iggy.

  • boxer28

That’s absurd. Much like the internet, it’s the manner in which religion is used that causes harm. Stalin was an atheist, Pol Pot etc. Would an atheist prefer to be judged by their actions?

  • keesha

Exactly. She has thrown so much shade and hate towards people, but then she deletes her tweets like a punk. I won’t miss her on social media, that’s for sure.

  • Samm Lacroix

Sorry, are you saying that anyone who does not believe in a God is a dictator who ran his country on fear and threats of death (very similarly to many religions btw)? The whole point of atheism is the belief that God isn’t real. Stalin and Pol Pots did not perform any of their acts in the name of atheism…since it isn’t a religion. We don’t all then have every part of our life in common. Sure some people use it for good and to feel better but it’s done a whole lot of horrible shit in this world:
    -Slavery and Racism
    -The Crusades
    -The Inquisition
-Stupidity to EVERY issue in the world like Climate Change because for some reason this one doesn’t matter since you got something on the other side waiting for you
    -Genital mutilation
    -Mass killings
    -Human sacrifices
    -Burning of witches
-Forcing and shaming people to have families they can’t take care of
-Disregard for basic health and contraception
    -Basic human rights
    -Child abuse (physical and mental)
Religion has given us some awesome people who have done awesome things but how about we all just be good people because we have this one world to live in and be a good person because you want to be. Not because you hope to get a reward

  • christopher

and the world takes a collective sigh of relief

  • boxer28

My point is human being are…human beings. Everything they use, be it an intellectual construct (such as religion) or a technological advance (such as the internet) will be applied/used/expressed in a messy, deeply flawed, contradictory fashion.

To assert religious people “do good” merely in the hope for a reward and/or in the fear of a reprieve is to quite frankly not understand the religious experience for many people.

Cutting and pasting atheist talking points doesn’t actually make a point if you don’t understand where the people are coming from you speak of. Fine you don’t relate to religious folks but to mischaracterize their motives based on the actions of people WHO ARE NOT ACTUALLY FOLLOWING THE KEY PRINCIPLES OF THE RELIGION is not fair and does not advance your non-agenda agenda.

And how does one “believe” God is not real? If he’s not real…no believe is his absence is necessary. And yes Stalin, Pol Pot, as communists were “compelled” to eradicate the “tyranny” of religion. Modern atheists may not identify with communists (nor should they) but to not see how the two modes of thinking were intertwined in history is to not acknowledge intellectual dirty laundry.

  • christopher

she should really teach us a lesson and not put out any more “music” really punish us :)

  • Blue Peas

You won’t miss her?? You sure can’t tell it by your post 😊😊 You sound like a loyal follower, “and”, as if out truly irks you to find her tweets deleted ..awww poor baby

  • keesha

πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ You’re pretty funny. I only don’t like the fact that she pretends like she’s only a victim of shade and hate and hasn’t done any of that herself. That’s what I won’t miss.
