Andreja Pejic Becomes Vogue's First Transgender Model!

Andreja Pejic is making history as the first transgender model to ever be featured in the pages of Vogue magazine with this feature in the May 2015 issue.

The 23-year-old Serbian model went through a gender confirmation process last year to transition into a woman.

“Society doesn’t tell you that you can be trans,” Andreja told the mag. “I thought about being gay, but it didn’t fit… I thought, ‘Well, maybe this’”—the fantasy of living life as a girl—“’is just something you like to imagine sometimes. Try to be a boy and try to be normal.’”

This is just getting ridiculous having to pretend that a guy who got his dick and balls cut off is a real woman who deserves to model for Vogue. Society is getting worse and worse. It is one thing accepting gay people. But accepting transgenders as real male of females is just screwed up.

    Bravo !

you’re transphobic. one day you’ll accept.

  • lezra

You’re just another PC puppet. Get over it and accept others opinions on things. You must be one of the idiots rallying for a black Spider-Man when he is not even black to begin with!

  • devvv

Spider-Man is also not real…comparing an entire group to a comic book character? Opinions are completely fine as long as they don’t oppress or infringe on the rights of others.

  • Arx

    A non-hateful comment. Thank you!

  • j b

Now these people are even making up their own phobias. What next?

My point is all those Political Correctness idiots are telling others to accept different opinions, when they themselves don’t wanna hear other or accept other people’s opinions on things either. Yes, this girl/guy is transgendred but whats wrong with saying he will never be a girl? Its the truth. He can cut off a dck but that doesn’t make him a woman sorry.
As for the Spider-man comment. are you aware of PC people getting angry because they want him being black in the next movie? He is not black in the comic books yet PC ppl are pushing for it. PC folks are using the agenda that if you keep him white, then you are a racist. How can a director and a movie company be racist if they are following the original story of spider-man? He is not black to begin with yet people are already calling the creators and the directors and Sony racist over it.

  • devvv

I understood what you were saying but you don’t understand the so-called “Political Correctness idiots”. Someone who feels they were born a certain gender, goes through gender reassignment surgery and hormone therapy is as much male or female as anyone. Adreja is mentally and now physically a woman, not a man that “cut his dck off.”

Also, I am aware of the debate surrounding SpiderMan and you also don’t seem to understand the point of those who rallied for a PoC to play SpiderMan (who has been a black/hispanic boy in the comics). These people were simply saying that his race was not a crucial part of his storyline and, as opposed to Black Panther and Magneto, who have origins rooted in their ethnicity. You don’t see anything wrong with saying Spiderman “can’t be black?” If people can accept the fact that he’s a man that’s been genetically mutated to have spider-like traits, but they can’t accept him as a black/latino/asian man, it’s racially based. They’ve already done 2 separate franchises featuring a white SpiderMan, so there really is no need for a third that follows this same premise. Black Widow was Russian in the comics and Scarlett Johansson isn’t. People didn’t have to seem to have a problem with that. That’s why people were angry.
