Quantico's Priyanka Chopra Is Voicing an Elephant for PETA

Priyanka Chopra is using her voice to show support for PETA’s fight to get elephants out of the circus.

The 33-year-old Quantico actress, who just earned her first-ever People’s Choice Awards nomination, will lend her voice to the first-ever life-sized robot elephant named Ellie, who will be touring around the U.S., Europe, and India.

“Elephants are truly magnificent creatures, who desperately need our help and protection. Ellie and I are teaching kids that elephants belong in the wild with their families and that they suffer greatly in captivity, in which they’re kept chained, forced to learn tricks, and deprived of all the things that make them happy, like family and freedom,” Priyanka said in a statement. “I couldn’t be more proud to join PETA in bringing Ellie’s story to life for children everywhere, with the hope of instilling the idea of compassion and kindness for living creatures of all kinds.”

She’s an actress, trained in her craft, not animal science and has been sorely misled by PETA. End of story. Ignorance is bliss and PETA plays on that.
