Eagles of Death Metal Exits Venue Safely Amid Paris Attacks

Jared Followill of Kings of Leon has confirmed that members of the Eagles of Death Metal have safely exited Bataclan, the music venue where fans were held hostage on Friday evening (November 13) in Paris, France.

During the show, shots were fired and over 100 fans were reportedly held hostage by an unknown suspect.

“Sending good vibes to Paris. A very dear friend plays for Eagles Of Death Metal. I’ve been pacing around my hotel room. What a terrible day,” Jared wrote on his Twitter.

He later added, “I’m nauseated watching the news coming out of the theatre right now. This isn’t supposed to happen.”

Finally, he confirmed that the members of the Eagles of Death Metal had made it out of the venue.

The wife of Eagles of Death Metal drummer Julian Dorio also confirmed the band was safe, telling The Washington Post, “[Julian] called to say that he loved me and he was safe. Everyone on stage was able to get off.”

Our thoughts continue to be with the people of Paris.
