I hope Leo decides to age gracefully.

here is about the After Party. anyone know who Irish tv presenter Laura Whitmore is? She was with them when they left.

    Thanks for the updates everyone!!

  • Sally J.

Blonde Irish entertainment host, but a little too old for him (she’s 30)

  • also…

Totally his type. She is 30 but Kelly was 25 so…

“I feel very strongly that it may possibly be Leo’s year,” Kate Winslet recently said by way of explaining why she would not be boycotting the Oscars later this month. “[H]e is my closest friend in the world and I just couldn’t imagine not being there to support him.” Winslet’s support prompted the press to call her Leo’s “main groupie” backstage at the BAFTAs. People reports that DiCaprio seemed nonplussed by this description repeating it back—“my main groupie?”—with a laugh.

But DiCaprio devised a label that seems a little more appropriate for a formidable actress who has already won an Oscar herself and is all-but-guaranteed to take home a second this year. “Kate,” he said, “That’s my homegirl!“

Lol, maybe the Champagne was nasty.

  • Sally J.

as of last month she has a boyfriend, and give People didn’t make a big deal about it I assume they are good friends, lol

  • Dis gonna be gud

Despite the botox I think Tom aged well. I’m hoping Leo slows down on the partying by the time he’s Tom’s age.

  • Sally J.

LOL, I’ve never understood why unscale stores serve alcohol, wouldn’t they be worried someone would spill it on the merchandise?

  • Sally J.

Tom is super short, never understood the appeal

  • Dis gonna be gud

I know it’s better to ignore her but I couldn’t resist. Lainey is just something.

Her post about Leo on Oscar night is going to reek of salt

  • dicaprioistheone

    Lol, exactly; especially red wine.

  • also…

Didn’t Kelly have a bf when she met Leo? lol I’m not saying anything is going on but she is his type and it doesn’t seem like her bf was in his entourage.

  • Sally J.

Lol, I didn’t know that about Kelly, but if this Laura lady is desperate enough I could see her kicking her current BF to the side for Leo, ☺️

  • Revengefan0101

Can you please post it here? I don’t want to give her site any hits. Thanks.

  • Revengefan0101

I think it’s more than botox.

  • also…

Let’s not jump into conclusions just yet. lol Maybe she was just a one night stand or just part of the entourage.
I think Leo is very low key with the girls as pasty if his Oscar campaign. Voting is ending soon so we will see if his behavior changes in that field.

  • Revengefan0101

It’s supposed to make you shop and buy more.

  • Revengefan0101

I don’t think he was looking for a suit for the Oscars though. His stylist can get him one for free.

Tom Cruise and Leonardo DiCaprio. Have they ever posed together before? I’m sure they’ve been in the same room. But standing side by side before a wall of photographers…

    If it’s not a first, it’s definitely a rare.

Tom was the “surprise” final presenter last night at the BAFTAs for Best Picture. He was also a presenter last year. Because he seems to spend more time in London than he does in LA now. Here’s my favourite shot of him from this appearance:

    It’s very James Bond, non?
Leo lovers have been talking alllll season about how he’s been “snubbed” so many times. How he’s overdue. To me this is a ridiculous argument. Here are the four actors who won the Oscar all the previous times that Leo’s been nominated:

    Matthew McConaughey, Dallas Buyers Club
Forest Whitaker, The Last King Of Scotland
    Jamie Foxx, Ray
    Tommy Lee Jones, The Fugitive

Show me the snub. Show it to me.

    As for being overdue…

Look at these two next to each other. I mean if we’re talking about who’s overdue, and personal lives and dating models and Pussy Posses aren’t supposed to factor into the discussion, and “performance only” is the criteria, you could totally make the argument that Tom Cruise is overdue too. And he’s 12 years older, although they kinda look about the same age here, non?

  • Dis gonna be gud

Last night at the BAFTAs – Leonardo DiCaprio was named Best Actor, Alejandro G Inarritu took Best Director, and The Revenant won Best Picture. So, just in case you’ve been missing the last several weeks, there is no way Leo’s losing the Oscar. Maybe not even if he marries a 14 year old. There’s a lot of crossover between BAFTA membership and the Academy. BAFTA members make up around 8% of Oscar voters. So The Revenant is definitely in strong, seemingly building momentum ahead of Spotlight and The Big Short with a week to go before Oscar ballots have to be submitted. The Academy can’t resist the story of a white dude getting his, with the assistance, always, of minority voices in the background. Way in the background. Voting closes next Tuesday.

As for Leo, as we’ve seen, he’s given everything in pursuit of this award. Like, everything. Even going so far as to kiss a woman over 25 who isn’t his mother. Check him out at the BAFTAs, during a bit about the “American kiss cam”, to acknowledge that it was Valentine’s Day, kissing Maggie Smith:

I’ve attached the full video below.

Let me say, again, how much fun it’s been to watch Leo go to these lengths, on his knees, in pursuit of something he’s supposedly not pursuing. Are we supposed to just forget about this on February 29th, when the Oscars are over, and he finally has his trophy in hand, and he goes back to fronting like he’s above it all?

  • Sally J.

Darn this lady is hard core-Although I don’t agree with her, she says the things most people are thinking but afraid to say out loud…

  • Dis gonna be gud

I like how these posts are funny and witty compared to Lainey.

  • Dis gonna be gud

She makes good points that I agree with sometimes but she’s way too biased and reaches for the stars against people she hates.

  • Anna David

I wonder what Lainey has against Leo. She always has something mean against him.

  • also…

and what good points do you think she’s even making? She’s going after The Revenant because it’s a movie about a white dude and doesn’t go after The Big Short – a movie about all white dudes or Spotlight – a movie about all white dudes and 1 white girl LOL. At least the Revenant does a good job of portraying Native americans and its made by a Mexican director and a mexican cinematographer. The fact that Innaritu a mexican director is about to make history by winning back to back oscars and potentially two back to back best pic winners made by him is NOT important to her. LOL He already made DGA history by being the only director to win back to back. Viva mexico LOL This b*tch is beyond pressed all because Leo is gonna win an oscar. Him kissing Maggie Smith on the cheek is now thirsty WTF?

  • Anna David

Didn’t know Laura has a bf. Maybe they are friends. It will be interesting to see how his dating style will be after the show.

  • also…

LOL at Tom Cruise being overdue. For what? making another Mission Impossible or another action movie LOL

  • Davina

Seriously. I think she needs some love in her life.

  • Sally J.

Well she calls him out on some of his more unflattering qualities- I admire Leo as much as the next person, but especially now, it’s almost like he is held up to be some divine being despite the fact that he has quite a few aspects of his personality which completely contradict his professional persona

  • Charade

It’s different cause that page is that way about everybody, it’s just the writting style. It’s about mocking and sarcasm.
Lainey is just a bitter woman that claims to be a serious professional journalist but has no clue about the meaning of the word “objectivity”

  • also…

Bf or not she is no VS or SI model. lol
I do believe it will change after the Oscar. He is campaigning big time!

  • also…

Because he likes dating models. He’s not doing anything different than what Warren Beatty or Jack Nicholson did back in the day. She’s comparing it to dating a 14 year old, like somehow its the same thing. Are you serious? All the women he’s dated are of age and conseting adults. WTF does that have to do with his acting career or professional career. They are two separate things.

  • nardy

    I deftintely agree.

  • also…

He is busting his balls for the same things over and over again but he is at least funny about it and Lainey is birching about everything she possibly can! 😏

  • nardy

Im very curious to see how that side of him will change , after he wins.

  • Anna David

Yeah he is. He’s probably worried about what the Oscar voters will think of him. He shouldn’t though.

  • Dis gonna be gud

I meant she can make good points in general, not in these specific posts.

A lot of criticism The Revenant is getting is about how the movie exploits the murders and rape of Native Americans in order to make Leo’s suffering more worth it. I’ve read reviews from Native American/First Nations people who have criticized The Revenant and those that have also praised it as well. I see both sides of the argument and I do wish Leo’s wife for example was more fleshed out as a character. Or that the Native woman who was raped had more to do in the movie.

Like you said though, this movie is still from the perspective of Inarritu, a Mexican man with indigenous ancestry. The documentary on the making of it from a couple weeks ago also shows how heavily the Native elements were infused into the production. That’s why I’m conflicted if it was his intent to exploit the tradegies of Native Americans like Lainey and others are saying, or if it just came off that way. He chose to give Hugh Glass a half Native son and a Native wife, the real Hugh Glass had neither. In his BAFTA speech he mentioned how the story of a mixed child was important to him so I don’t know.

  • nardy

If you look at the articles she made about him a couple years ago she used to be a fan. Then somehow along the way she just started trashing him.

  • Charade

So i guess for that people 12 years a slave was about exploiting the tragedies of black people instead of trying to tell what happened at the time period?

  • Dis gonna be gud

Yeah, she used to be favorable towards him. Then she snapped and has been hating him since. I think it was downhill after the Blake and Leo fling ended.

  • Sally J.

I agree, but when it comes to these industry awards, the voters look at personal lives as well, it’s not fair, but political elections are the same way, a lot of people vote for those whose values align with their own, even if their leadership skills aren’t better than their opponents

  • Dis gonna be gud

When it comes to the Oscars I don’t think they care about personal lives as much. They rewarded Roman Polanski despite him raping and drugging an underage girl.

  • nardy

I wonder if an incident occured? There were rumors that he denied an interview with her. Not sure if i can believe that though.

  • Sally J.

Ouch! I’d be a little salty too, lol has Leo ever done a JJ interview? Does JJ do interviews?

  • nardy

Maybe something happened behind the scenes. We dont know about everything that happens.

  • Charade

She is just a pathetic excuse of a journalist that knows no objectivity.
She hates on Leo for dating younger models that are consenting adults and willing to go into that kind of relationship.
But her faves like Kristen Stewart can fuck her married boss whose wife she befriended in the back of a car on the middle of the day and not only will she find ways of defending her but she will mock the boyfriend she cheated on and humilliate and blame him for it.

  • also…

He also has strong Native American characters like Elk Dog who doesn’t take sh*t from anyone and stands up to Toussaint and wont take no for an answer when he’s exchaging goods so he can go find his daughter. You also have that Native American who helps Leo along the way. If you watch the documentary, Innaritu clearly thought about how he was going to include the Native americans in his story. I really dont see the point in expanding the wife character when she’s only meant to be part of his dreams/memories very heavily influence by Tarkovsky in all the imagery behind the way she’s used in the movie. The Native americans were treated poorly though by the white man. I dont see why Innaritu has to change history to tell a story. He’s being true while still respecting the Native Americans. He didnt make them into savages.
