The Finest Hours Hits Blu-ray/DVD and Digital HD today. From Disney, the new film follows an extraordinary true story about a small boat rescue by the Coast Guard during one of the worst storms in New England. Starring Chris Pine and Casey Affleck, the new thrilling drama is full of heart, courage, and perseverance through insurmountable odds.

The film is supported by director Craig Gillespie (Million Dollar Arm) and scored by Carter Burwell, who was nominated for his work in Carol. Extras on the release include a 14 minute piece that includes the film crew and the people of Chatham discussing the event and the impact of Bernie Weber’s heroic, in addition to Deleted Scenes and stories about the real Coast Guard.

The drama is great for fans of disasters with happy endings and is a solid film overall. Visually the film is dark in colors at times, however, the film is beautifully shot with great scenes which is expected with all Disney films.
