Bill Skarsgard Looks Horrifying in First Photo As Pennywise the Clown!
Bill Skarsgard and his girlfriend hold hands as they explore the city on Sunday (July 17) in Toronto, Canada.
The 25-year-old Swedish actor, who is the younger brother of The Legend of Tarzan‘s Alexander Skarsgard, is in Toronto filming the remake of Stephen King‘s It.
In the film, Bill will take on the role of Pennywise, a creepy and bloodthirsty clown whose purpose is to terrorize children.
“It’s such an extreme character. Inhumane,” Bill said in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly. “It’s beyond even a sociopath, because he’s not even human. He’s not even a clown. I’m playing just one of the beings It creates.”
“There’s a childishness to the character,” he went on. “Because he’s so closely linked to the kids. The clown is the manifestation of children’s imaginations, so there’s something child-like about that.”
“It’s important that we do something fresh and original for this one,” Bill added. “It’s purposely not going toward that weird, greasy look.”
Catch It in theaters on September 8, 2017, and check out the photo below if you can handle it!
