Amy Schumer Issues Statement on Comedian Friend Kurt Metzger's Sexual Assault Comments

Amy Schumer has taken to Twitter to address fellow comedian Kurt Metzger‘s insensitive and controversial comments about women who have been sexually assaulted.

Kurt took to Twitter and Facebook to discuss rapes that were reported at the Upright Citizen’s Brigade theater in New York City.

“‘Why aren’t the rape kits being tested??’ Because instead of actually educating women with useful information on what to do if they are being victimized, you blather nonsense about ‘culture’ and then tell them being weak is being strong,” Kurt wrote on Facebook. “What exactly is a “rape apologist?” Is that like “cuck?” A meaningless word that the weak and stupid hurl at their superior to make his d*ck hard? Im kidding I already know it is. It’s my pleasure to upset you. Please call me both of those things. Im changing my profile to include them. I just want you to know how proud I am to be both a “cuck” and a “rape apologist!”"

“No I’m talking to silly bloggers and everyone who yelled guilty without even hearing A STORY … U don’t need even one detail to go on? Not a name or number of victims or what they say happened? U just hear ‘rape’ and it’s on?” Kurt tweeted at a blogger who wrote a story about his comments.

Amy responded by tweeting, “I am so saddened and disappointed in Kurt Metzger. He is my friend and a great writer and I couldn’t be more against his recent actions.”

Later, Amy added, to clear up, “Kurt does not work for me. He is not a writer on my show. Please stop asking me about it. His words are not mine.” Kurt does have writing and acting credits on Inside Amy Schumer as of 2016.

This is the definition of a piece of sh*t. And like every other pig who says things like this he’s ugly and braindead.

Feminist is just another word that is used to describe pathetic and stupid whore.

  • Torii Wehling

This jerk needs a good old fashion horse whipping.

  • Tehy

    Why?

The idea that you shouldn’t take any steps to stop bad things happening to you, because bad things shouldn’t happen to you in the first place, and that anyone who tries to help you stop bad things from happening to yourself is blaming you when they do, is completely ridiculous. Feminists teach weakness as “strength”; if a guy is raping you, don’t say “no” because he just violated affirmative consent, and god forbid you fight him off. Once it’s already happened, don’t become stronger after healing from your trauma, just wallow in victimhood and blame the entire culture, even if the entire culture in fact hates rape more than most other crimes. None of this is rape apologism.

We will need feminists until there isn’t this kind of comment you’ve just made.

  • John Dow

You need more pathetic and stupid whores? Ok :)

“‘Why aren’t the rape kits being tested??’ Because instead of
actually educating women with useful information on what to do if they are being victimized, you blather nonsense about ‘culture’ and then tell them being weak is being strong,” I think he’s expressing a valid point here. Women need to be strong, self-protective and do what they can to minimize the risks of getting raped just as much as they need to prosecute rape when it happens. We don’t need campuses to get involved in a matter for the police. If a woman is raped, she needs to report it and bring the perp to justice. There is no rape culture. Most men, and all honorable men, know rape is wrong and consider the whole proposition beneath them. All men should not carry the shame of what only bad men will do. See. It’s not either or. It’s both/and. And this comic is being too hammered in the court of public opinion for not towing the power feminist line.
