How Much Does a Super Bowl 2017 Commercial Cost?

The cost for a 30-second commercial is at an all-time high for the 2017 Super Bowl.

While the Atlanta Falcons and the New England Patriots go head-to-head for the championship, big brands and ad agencies are watching their money to go to work.

The cost of a 30-second spot is a whopping $5 million dollars, the equivalent of $166,667 per second.

Before you gasp, some people say the price is a bargain.

The Super Bowl is expected to serve up more than 110 million viewers. According to Forbes, this year’s $5 million price tag equals about 4 and 5 cents. An average commercial — at between $200k – $500k for 2 to 7 million viewers — equates to 8 to 10 cents more per viewer.

So, really, it’s a steal!
