The cost of a 30-second spot is a whopping $5 million dollars, the equivalent of $166,667 per second.
Before you gasp, some people say the price is a bargain.
The Super Bowl is expected to serve up more than 110 million viewers. According to Forbes, this year’s $5 million price tag equals about 4 and 5 cents. An average commercial — at between $200k – $500k for 2 to 7 million viewers — equates to 8 to 10 cents more per viewer.
So, really, it’s a steal!
