Joey King & Patricia Arquette's 'The Act' Gets a Premiere Date!

The Act, the highly-anticipated Hulu anthology series, has revealed a premiere date!

The first season of the series stars Joey King and Patricia Arquette and it’s based on the BuzzFeed article, “Dee Dee Wanted Her Daughter To Be Sick, Gypsy Wanted Her Mom To Be Murdered,” by Michelle Dean.

The story follows Gypsy Blanchard (King), a girl trying to escape the toxic relationship she has with her overprotective mother (Arquette). Her quest for independence opens a Pandora’s box of secrets, one that ultimately leads to murder.

Chloe Sevigny, AnnaSophia Robb, and Calum Worthy also star in the series. The eight-episode season will premiere on Hulu on Wednesday, March 20 and new episodes will debut weekly.
