Robert Pattinson Touches Down in France Amid Batman Casting Rumors!

Robert Pattinson is friendly with fans!

The 33-year-old actor signed autographs and smiled at onlookers upon arriving at the Nice airport to attend the 2019 Cannes Film Festival on Friday (May 17) in France.

Robert is on the short list to take up the mantle of Batman, according to a new report from Variety.

If Robert does step into the iconic role, he definitely won’t overthink it.

“When I first started acting,” he recently told Indie Wire of his acting style. “I needed to know the psychological profiles of my characters very, very intimately. And then I realized that as soon as I try and do something where I feel like I’ve got any kind of understanding of it, it’s just a disaster. As soon as I have a set plan, it will just go wrong. Trying to almost purely rely on intuition is better. It’s easier for me to just guess, basically. I used to have scripts which were covered in notes, and now I have nothing. At all. Pretty much ever.”

Robert is at Cannes supporting his latest movie, Robert Eggers‘ The Lighthouse, which premieres at the festival on Sunday.
