Ariana Grande Performs in Manchester for First Time Since Benefit Concert

Ariana Grande hits the stage while performing at the 2019 Manchester Pride Live concert on Sunday (August 25) in Manchester, England.

This show marked Ari‘s first time performing in the city after the benefit concert she hosted two years ago to raise money for the victims and families that were impacted by a terrorist attack at her concert.

Ariana performed tons of her hit songs for the crowd at pride.

Earlier this year, Ariana defended herself after people criticized her for playing a pride concert even though she’s straight.

“the lgbtq community has been so special to me and supportive throughout my career. The relationships I have with lgbtq fans, friends, and family make me so happy. I want to celebrate and support this community regardless of my identity or how people label me. and also I wanna visit a city that means so much to me,” Ariana said at the time on Twitter. “I do think there’s room for us to talk about these issues without equating a performance *for* an lgbtq audience with exploitation of the lgbtq community. I’m not claiming to be the hero of the lgbtq rights movement — I just wanna put on a show that makes my lgbtq fans feel special and celebrated and supported. that’s all I wanna do.”
