'Venom 2' Adds New Marvel Villain in Addition to Carnage!

Shriek is joining the Marvel movie universe for Venom 2!

If you don’t know, Shriek is a female villain in the Marvel world that is usually seen as a nemesis to Spider-Man and the lover of Cletus Kasaday, aka Carnage. Carnage is Venom‘s biggest villain, and the character was introduced in the end credits scene for the first Venom film.

Shriek, according to Deadline, has superpowers of “sonic energy blasts, flight, and the ability to stir up dark and violent emotions in others.”

“Right now the role is not filled, the net is cast wide toward many kinds of actresses,” one source said, with producers “looking mostly at unknowns right now.”

Tom Hardy is set to reprise his role as Venom, with Woody Harrelson presumed to return as Carnage.

The film is currently set for release on October 2, 2020.
